i put a little fuel in the intake manifold..it popped...then no more. im thinkin its not gettin fuel..how would i check if its gettin fuel without takin an injector off or somethin...
thats the only possible think i can think of as of now that could be the problem..
any others i over looked???

Are you sure it doesn't start and then die?
I'm assuming you have gas in your tank. What did you change to make your car not start? Can you hear your fuel pump running? Check undercar for broken lines yet?

im pretty sure it doesnt start and then die
i think i hear my fuel pump....that wherr from the rear..its not loud like my antenna motor
if my lines were broken...wouldnt they leak???

pull out your spark plugs and crank. do you smell gas or see it shooting out of your pistons??
also, remove your cas, while noting the position of its timing, with your car on the on position(remember to disconnect the ignition coil, turn the rotor.
do your injectors fire?

it could be your destributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, you could also have a badd connection wit your battery.

all the plugs are firing
the cap and plugs are new

then its your alternator man, thats the only else that would effect idle speed! besides you air/fuel mixture which is controlled by the ECU??

and controlled by the iacv set screw, any premature grounding in the injector harness, a bad cas, bad o2 sensor, bad egr, vacuum leaks, leaking injectors, bad coil.
really, i'm not kidding that your idle can be affected by these other problems. and several others that i haven't bothered to add in since there're too many to list.

well..would it make a difference if i have almost no back pressure
ie no exhaust or cat..jus B-pipe/down pipe.
i mean all the plugs are firing(took them out and looked) i dont mean the cylinders are firing...
my alternator was fine before i rebuilt the motor
Scene: ok...while trying to start the motor we eventually got it to fire a few times after moving the distributor but only a few times because the fuel lines weren't connected (because i had too much fuel in cylinders) then we hooked up the fuel lines... put the battery charger on and turned the motor over and move the distributor around but nothing happened..no popping or any thing.
can anything be gathered from this???

unless you a have a T25+ powered SR you dont have to worry about that back pressure issure with NA motors. but i dunt know man, sounds like sumtin with the alternator to me, same problem i ran into when i bought my first 90 240sx which i am now parting out

if the ignition timing set on your cas is incorrect, your engine won't start either.

Setting your base timing can help you solve some problems, I would start there.
