Drove it that way until I saved up and got the parts for SR swap.. a month or so before my jr. year ended I finished up the conversion and drove it to school for the rest of the year. Got her when I was 17. Still have her. 1965 Chrysler Newport. 383 with 727 tranny, just ticked over 100,000 miles. Had the engine apart a few years back, no wear at all. Even the rings were re-useable.

FUCK YES on the extended warranty. The water pump, both motor mounts and valve cover gasket recently went out on my E320 and that shit cost over $4000. Thank GOD I got the warranty on mine too. I took out the back seats and lined the floor with a bunch of school logo'd foam bleacher seats, blankets, and pillows. So rad to ditch class with a girlfriend, it also carried all of my bands equipment. It was a pretty lame vehicle but I drove the hell out of it and eventually the tranny blew up.
