So the persons rights are suppressed...And he gets to apologize? WOW! Talk about a slap on the wrist. The public should call for both the sheriff and deputy to resign.

wow....

That's absurd. He glanced over making obvious he's looking, but to steal the document...WOW What even more amazing is that he's getting less than a slap on the wrist about it. The sheriff is a douchebag....the judge has more authority than him in this case. I agree that both need to resign.

the deputy should be sent to jail immediately.

the sheriff should be fired.

That's pretty ridiculous.

I didn't watch the whole video though.

So, he stole papers from the criminal's attorney, right?

Did it ever say what the guy was on trial for?

I'm curious to know about the whole story.

Yes sire He should be put in jail. He has violated the oath he pleaged to.

I'd be more worried about the sheriff with the thumb up his ass in this matter. Talk about power tripping...

Wow I cant believe he would take your papers. I wonder want was soooo important on the papers that he took them.

I'd love to see how this develops.

imo, it doesn't look good on the judge either that she gave the deputy a slap on the wrist.
like vid said, if it were anyone else they would be thrown in jail.

Yeah. hopefully the criminal gets let out early because of this. It'll be better for everybody if he can roam the streets some more and perhaps repeat a crime.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs

Innocent until proven guilty. Can't really defend your innocence if people are snatching up paperwork that you need, can you? Put yourself in his position and then say that.

That deputy should lose his job.

Brian

I know.
I understand that.
That's why I asked if anybody knew more to the story.
And sorry, I wouldn't put myself in his position. I'm not a criminal.

Just trying to give my usual "other side of the coin" point of view for those people who think the police are the worst thing that could have happened in the world.

At any rate. it's still bullshit to remove paperwork like that.

I understand, but can you guarantee that you or a family member will never be charged for something you/they didn't do? You can't depend on people to do their job right, we all know that. And we all know that shit happens too. But I'll shut up, I know you were just sayin :o

Brian

I guess the only thing we can guarantee is that we'll die one day, right? (and taxes?!) lol
Beyond that, everything is kind of a crap shoot, I think.

If any of us gets charged for something we didn't do, then may God be on our side.

It wouldn't be a crap shoot if people hadn't let it get this bad. I'm loosing faith in people everyday. Save us all Brian!! AHHHHH :D

whatever the criminal did doesn't excuse the deputy, sheriff, (and imo also the judge) in any way.

There are a lot of good people left. We just rely on the media too much and they sure as hell don't like to show those people.

The Sheriff needs to be thrown in jail and be punished MORE than the Deputy... Who the hell does he think he is? Since when can you just ignore a judge's order?

A Sheriff like that = a department full of FAIL. How the hell are you sworn to uphold the law when you dont even know the damn Constitution?

Some people don't deserve to wear a uniform. Cops are supposed to protect our rights, and while I'll say nation wide 95% do a very good job doing that, 5% is still quite a few cops. Imagine having 5% vinegar in your soda. It makes for some shitty tasting soda, eh?

He should lose his job.

For the same reason you mentioned,
I personally think cops should be punished MORE severely than civilians,
NOT less.

Why should they deserve to get off easy anyways?
I'd like to know the rationale in that.

Funny how in another thread,
a teacher gets fired for stealing $20.
Cop steals a damn legal document in court,
and is only asked to 'apologize'.

I cannot agree more. Cops took an oath to follow the law, while we, the average citizens, did not. So why should someone that took an oath to follow the law should be given a break when they break the law?

Teacher should be fired for stealing $20 buck.
Cop should be fired/imprisoned for stealing legal documents.

Good luck with that......

Arpaio is the most corrupt mother fucker in the country. The feds are trying to take him down, but can't. Our governor went the DC and begged the feds to come take him out of power.....but they can't

Sheriff Joe Arpaio Maricopa County must go! (http://www.arpaio.com/)
