I have a 91 240sx i did custom tubs i don’t have space to route the power steering reservoir. now i was thinking of 2 options unless anyone has others.... one is to convert to a 89-90 P/L and put the reservoir in the passenger section but keep the 91 P/L pressure line that connects to the pump. second option is to make a special bracket and mount the power steering line on the front of the driver side. see pic below. the only thing i worry about this setup is if the reservoir seems to be a bit lower than the pump so I’m not sure if there would be a problem...? any suggestions

if your worried about it being low you could mount it back near the clutch master, make a bracket and then just buy some rubber hose to run.

if ur going to run a power steering cooler, you can eliminate the cooling loop all togather (hardline that runs accross the cross member). that way u can mount the resivor pretty much anywhere.

^what the said, you can mount it anywhere. I think i'm gonna sit mine up next to the rad, run the lines down the 'frame' rail
Pretty sure the resiviour doesn't need to be higher than the pump either

I just went through a similar situation, tubbing and adding a P/S cooler.
First off I am not top mount so you have more issues there than I however, I was able to mount my resiviour underneath my turbo side IC piping. Here is its almost hidden yet still able to check the amount, fill, etc. with ease.
For line, do like what they are saying and delete the stock cooler (hardline that runs across your crossmember that collects dirt behind it and makes your altenator clip room horrible) and run lines direct from the rack. This is a 3/8 line, all low pressure so dont worry there, I went SS braided rubber for $5 more for 10ft. to make sure its protected.
I did not want to devy too far from the stock locaton however I have seen many people put them in several locations, their are many threads about this (location and height) but I dont want to spread mis-information.
I have a s14, am I correct in saying some/all s13's didnt have the stock cooling line?
I will try to fins some pictures of my set up when I can.
