I have been pondering for a long time the purchase of a computer chip for the car. I have a 95 240sx and I'm looking for straight answer... Is the chip worth 300 bucks? Maybe someone can tell me what I can expect from this mod. Not just numbers, every site has performance numbers. I need to know what I can feel and If it will help in the 1/4 mile times. Thanx in advance.

Where are you getting a "chip" for $300? Who makes it. As far as I know, you will need a new, reprogramed ECU. Jim Wolf Tech programs a great ecm, and they are $550+.

The one and only chip I would buy is a Jim Wolf Technology. All others are a waste of money IMHO. Unless you want to get a stand alone ECU which is totaly different. I bought the JWT ECU for my 91 240sx after doing a bunch of bolt ons and it was by far my FAV engine mod.

Thanks for everybody's help. I'd like to purchase the JWT, but again, 550 is alot of money for a couple of horsepower. I have a Zex nitrous kit with approx. a 90 shot (upgraded jets) and believe me... I know what 500 bucks can do horsepower-wise.(he he he)
Have JWT tune a ECU spacificly for your setup and it will be even more worth wile.
