i was gonna say the same thing!!!
90% of the uti/wyotech/whatever grads i've known have started their careers actually working in the same place that some nobody with no experience starts: changing oil.
except the nobody with no experience hasn't already forked out thousands for a bunch of mostly useless knowledge.
the only good programs that the technical schools offer are body/paint and chassis fab.

I agree. How long can you really go until you get sick of working on other people cars?

Truth. If you aren't going for fab classes or paint & body, you're better off going to one of the many community colleges in the area. Same (if not better) education for 1/10th of the price as UTI, plus many of the schools have a staff member that will bust their ass to get you a better-than-entry-level job.
And yes, I realize that you weren't asking if its worth it... Just saying.

i went there back in 1999 not worth it too much money. I stopped going cause it was too far for me and to expensive in the long run. A friend that was going with me at the time finished and got into the mercedes program and now works for beverly hills mercedes.... they started him off at like $15 hr thats pretty lame.

DONT GO THERE
I almost did. Im glad my parents didnt support it.
I ended up signing up for automotive classes for only a hundred bucks or 2. learned the same thing I would have AND I worked on my own car.
In the end. I gained knowledge and took a piece of my work home with me
Just go to community college. You'll be glad you did. Use that 30 grand on your car instead of the education that could have been obtained for a couple hundred bucks.

everyone has there own opinion... at uti you get the same knowledge within a year that would take you 10 years out on the field to learn... community college like citrus treats you like your stupid and the only accelerated program is toyota...
i go to uti and its well worth the money, could cost less, but well worth the money... and for those that say there friend makes minimum after graduated, they didnt look around enough... you have to be willing to work 2 even three hours away to get a good paying job cuz it greatly opens up the job opportunities
