sorry if this is a verry noob question or not but im not to familiar with rim specs and adjustments of such butttt........

is it possible to change a rims offset if it is a two piece rim???

because im looking at a set of rims and there absolutely perfect besides the fact that the offsets suck (well not deep as i would like)

rim specs are
18x8+30 18x9+35 4/5x114.3
the car they would be for
i have a s13 hatch lowerd on springs (soon to be coils) pretty well stock

i was talking more about the lip size of the rim not the fitment to my fenders

i was thinking of an offset of around +15 front and +10 rear would be prefrable

Some wheels I know you can flip the barrels (mount the face upside down) like SSR Reverse Mesh for some OD negative offsetting. But then again, the inside barrel usually looks like shit.

With 2 piece wheels, the centers are usually welded to the barrels. So it would be difficult to change the offset. With a 3 piece wheel, you could order new, wider barrels from the manufacturer to get a different offset.

is it worth it to you, to spend 2x more to make them have a nice offset?
thats around how much it will be

So basicly what you guys are saying I should look for other rims unless I pay for somone to cut n weld in a different offset?

Is that the only way a 2piece rim can change offset... but what about a 2piece that isn't welded to the barrel????

depends on the design of the wheel, some are able to separate from the face.

three piece wheels are usually easier to change the offset and width with because the barrel is split into two pieces.

if your wheel face bolts to your barrel, chances are that you can get a custom barrel manufactured to your specs.

for a drastic change you could also flip the barrels you have now...

in your situation, i'd probably look for some different wheels... depending what they are.

why not just add 25mm spacers? it'll sit flush.

did you not read what i wrote?

if the face unbolts from the barrel you can most likely buy custom barrels manufactured to your specs.

When you say 2 piece rim...the 2 piece is usually the face and the barrel. 3 piece rims usually means the face and the barrel are cut into 2. You take the barrel off the face and change them. You cant do the same thing for 2 piece rims.

Also, google search and educate yourself on how rim measurement works. How the width of the rim can affect offset and how offset is not what dictates how much lip a rim will have.

thank all you guys for your information i think i have it down now lol

soo my options are if i REALLY want these rims i can either
A. cut out the face and get a new barrel
B. remove the face and flip it and mount it "backward" to receive proper lip
C. spend much less and get the rims that already have the lip and size i want

thank you guys again for your help :D
i think im gona go with option C.
