I was told your supposed to unplug the battery for 20 minutes. That seems kind of long to me, but thats what I was told. Anyone else?

Check here (http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/ecm_reset.htm). My ECU threw a code a few weeks ago (Park/Nuetral Switch BS) and unhooking the battery didn't work. I actually had tot reset the computer itself.

Open the door and turn the key to acc. press the button that turns the cabin light on in your door jam 6 times quickly. the airbag light will reset.

^^^This!!!
He's asking about airbag light, not check engine light. Two different issue and lights. Resetting your check engine light wont clear your airbag light.
But back to the OP, if you have an aftermarket steering wheel on and it doesnt have a resistor in the air bag plug, the light will stay on.
