Hey guys. I been PM'ing everyone on my aim list about this but everyone kept saying "it might" lol.. I checked the archives for any metion but nothing solid. So, would a 1995 Tranny fit my 1989 240sx? The tranny is gonna come with the flywheel and clutch from ACT. So would the tranny fit and work just like new? or would there be problems in the long run and stuff? Cause I was thinking that the block is the same from all the 240's and so the tranny would bolt on easy. PLease give me a real answer guys. L8s

Jsquared, it will work the other way, but you need to put in the S14 speed sensor to get your speedo to work.

I think he is talking about putting a 95 DOHC tranny one his 89 SOHC block. Will that work?

thanks drift freaq, the tranny is actually leaving my car and going into a friend's S14, so all he'll need is the speed sensor off of his old manual gearbox?
and someone help calidrifter find out if the DOHC tranny will work on the SOHC block :) (sorry to hijack thread btw)

people, beyond S13 and S14 speed sensors the trannies on the dual cams and single cams are the same trannies.
how many times do I need to answer this question before you guys understand?
