Hi guys,
This is the situation I am in now. Just the past Saturday, I went to Thomas Subaru out in Long Island, NY to trade in my 2009 Civic for a 2009 WRX. My girlfriend and I read through all the paper works carefully, redo all the calculations and everything seems fine. So we signed it. I just find it weird that I never met the finance manager or even the sales manager. The sales guy claims he's "new" only worked there for half a year or so. I noticed he gets up and walks to another office to asks questions in regards of my questions....After all the papers are processed and signed...i left the dealer with the Wrx...
This morning, I got a call from the sales guy (his cellphone) stating that "I" forgot to sign a "Subaru Contract". I was like, thats weird. My girlfriend and I signed all the papersone by one that was hand over by him. So i asked him, what's the contract about, he said its just one of those sheets that I was suppose to sign, and maybe I overlooked it. He said he's going to mail me it and return it. I'm starting to worry now. Not only about this contract, I'm still thinking if they're going to pay off my loan for the civic. I asked for a written consent that they're going to pay it off within 10 days..but all i got is the stupid receipt that shows the payoff amount by them and other paperworks.
I could be paranoid, but I know there's dealers out there scamming people. They seem nice and they're legit Subaru dealer, but I think its one of those dealers that are family owned.
can some please shed some advices? Have anyone experienced similar situation? I'll keep you guys posted when I receive the mail tomorrow...WISH ME LUCK GUYS!!
