flip up screen is an av input screen only (it does not play dvd's directly you have to have a source connected to it) I bought this for a ps2 in the car but then switched to ipod movies after playing mortal kombat while doing 70 and getting pulled over lol.

Basically you just need to connect the power (the harness has lines for the speakers and everything but those arent needed. I just ran the power, hooked the av source up to it and then ran the audio into my head unit...
