I woke up this morning and go out to my car to find a dent in the middle of my drivers side door. right on top of that, there is a foot print of some persons shoe. not worring about who did it, i am just looking for advise on how to remove the dent without having to go to a body shop. i dont have any pics, but if you can picture a door ding, thats what it looks like, except it is a little larger. thanks in advance.

This would be a good time to put the "ding-king" to the test, or contact a paintless dent remover.

I'd really have to see the dent to tell but most of the time if its a big dish dent you can pop them out with a suction cup dent gun. For bigger dents those ones that use adhesive work.
For my POS car I pull dents with a slide bar hammer and bondo them over.

ok, i went to the local auto part store and purchased a "Ding King". I followed instructions and the dent was pulled out just a little bit. now when you look at my car from an angle, you could see the distortion/warped part. i could definately see the ding king working on other dents, just did not on mine. needless to say, im still not satisfied. anyone know of a shop or service that will remove this ding in the San Diego area thats kinda cheap? thanks again.

if it is not folded in... if it's like, went in kinda smoothly.. without no hard edges then this will work.

on a very very cold day(has too be very very very cold), turn on your heater high for 10~20 mins so the inside temp. and out side temp. is totally different. windows and everything has to be closed. and you quickly open the door wide~ and shut it really hard! then the door ding will pop out~!

true story.....

youll never get it perfect with a ding king

try and find a new door or take it in...im the same way as you...i cant stand even the littlest hint of a dent.

You would prolly cry if you saw my car then. :D

This just happened to me too. :doh

Actually theres a trick similar to the heater trick... If you rub down the dent with dry ice it'll pop itself out on a hot day.
