another s13 drift build for non Premium Members

i had posted on the premium member build but i know most people dont have it so here some pics and progress i made
my goal: build a track car for only drifting


price of car $100 with some small frame damage
the car came with some extra parts as well so it was a win win!

so this weekend 10/2/09 to 10/4/09
stich weld as much of the car as possible

fast foward another week, i pick up a free rolling 240sx shell! from member carlosncdi Thanks i was picking up some autometer gauges and he ended up telling me hes getting out of the scene and he is junking the car... this was all over the phone, hes like the car has a big quarted dent and the roof is caved in... im like dam. can i go check it out? hes like sure ? It was missing doors and motor and wheels roof looked bad how it was caved in but we poped most it out.. so i eneded up towing the car the next day.. but lucky me i had the other 240sx switch the doors and bam old car sent to junk yard got $60 bucks for scrap metal...

it came with nice dash and free fender braces.... he did have some parts he was going to sell, so i bought them all, kazama lower control arms, tein inner and outer tie rods welded diff and rear camber arm

so i started to stiched welded the car the whole car! again.. i removed all the interior car should be ready in about 3 weeks for paint here some pic of the damage and the welds

so i did the tubes, a totally different than what everyone is accustome to ...than the normal, all i need is to swap in the motor make the holes for the intercooler piping.. goog thing is that everything will look hidden so will see how it comes out , as far as the radiator support im going to put a new one in but im going to do it so i can bolt it on so it can be easy to remove and install engine if needed

Dude I think I got like the wrong piping I tried every angle and nothing but no big deal I got on side figured out... I'm going to attempt the other side now... U have someone to weld alluminum? I need some welds.. Don't have a alluminum welder

looks hella hard yo. you gonna put massive wheels in the front cause you got massive space to do it now. lol by the way your welds looks good knowing how to weld does come in handy

hmm.... did you try swapping the lower sides??? i have some extras left i think..... or maybe its where the whole was cut maybe??
yes i know someone who weld aluminum. if you cut the wrong pipe lmk and i can help u out....

Im putting 17x8 lol... Once I'm done mocking up the parts it's going to the paint booth.... The circle u guys see on the right side I'm putting a methanol kit got plenty of room and it will look hidden

But I like to see something different, what gauge metal did you use?

yeah somethign different... it should actually look pretty clean, sure does in my mind lol but everything will just be hidden and will look cool i think..ill get some pics of this weekend... i should be doing a couple things this weekend ill post some pics
