man, all I ever see around here driving 240's besides me is old people, and more often than not it's a middle aged black woman. It sucks cause every time I see another one in town that I've never seen before, I rush up to see if the driver could "possibly" be an enthusiast. My heart is broken again only to find out that it's another older black woman who has no idea of the potential of the car as she puffs away on her cigarette making the interior stink. Oh well, I guess I'll just continue my car life a loner in this town.

i got stopped once by a pretty good looking female who was asking me about my car and knew a decent amout about 240s in general. I thought it was pretty cool so I tried to give her Foxcolt's cell # so maybe I could start a [barrywhite voice] 240sx love connection[/barrywhite voice]:D but she wasn't going for it.:(

That's so true. I've found that most girls can care less what car you drive, unless it's something immediately recognizable to the general population, like a Corvette or something similar.

Except me! The first time I autocrossed I had about 5 people ask me who I was here with. The guy at the front gate greeted me with "sign in the column for workers only". I was like, "Oh, just cuz I'm a girl I don't get to drive?" He turned about 50 shades of red.

But yeah, I still get looks like where's your husband. Or better yet, "what kind of car does your boyfriend race?". I won't even tell you my reply to that one (not only am I a single autocrossing femal but I also have an extremely vulgar and sarcastic sense of humor).

This girl is not uncommon--she is what I would classify as a non-driver--someone who does not enjoy driving or cars. You don't gotta be a mechanic to recognize nice vehicles, or the difference between nice and nasty.

Women don't drive 240s where i come from, or atleast I never see them. The only one that did was the hottest girl I have ever seen that use to go to my school. But she totalled it, so no more.

Yeah. I'm a diehard car guy, though, so I'm trying to train her. She's getting better, slowly, because I'm always pointing out cars and identifying them when we go somewhere. "Look, there goes a Supra!" or "Hey, see that? That's a 3rd-gen RX-7."

Women may give it a look, and then they're like "nice car" and this is usually followed by her asking something about the car in particular and then I bore her to death with stuff she doesn't understand, conversation usually ends there... Now if I pull up and start talking and leave the car as the silent partner and don't mention it, I'm sure it has helped in pulling chicks. I have another question though, I asked Steeles this while he was driving my car Saturday night:
What if you are chilling in your own passenger seat and someone else is driving your car, and you try and speak to a lady or 3 and they try to play you like a loser for trying to holla from the passenger seat? (keep in mind that this is your OWN car) Do you go apeshit on them or let them roll on?

EVERYONE gets guys staring at their cars more than girls, you are just hetero enough to not notice it or act on it, thank goodness... When a chick is watching, on the other hand, you know because you were looking at her. I'm the type that doesn't care if I get caught looking/staring, I'll even let her know I was looking, and that is always the start of it. But for the fun of it, I used to meet chicks driving the 240, then go pick them up in my 78 monte carlo when I still had it, they'd see the 240 when they got back to the house and I would drop them back off in it. The initial shock on their face was enough for me to laugh for MONTHS sometimes.
