What do you fear?

What things used to scare you when you were younger?
What little things scare you now? Phobias?


For me, back in the single-digit years of my life, it was this leatherish E.T. doll in the basement under the stairs. I never saw the movie E.T. and just referred to it as the poop monster. There was also a ceramic barbershop singer marionette puppet.

Now, I'm still not too fond of clowns, but I don't fear them. No phobias. Other than the apprehension from life's obstacles and obvious life-threatening dangers, nothing really to be afraid of. I used to mess with my little bro's arachniphobia, but he got over it like 2 or so years ago. Used to sorta mess with this girl's snail-o-phobia, until i realized her fear was pretty serious so i backed off.

What is it about phobias? All psychological? Conquerable? My bro pretty much got over his fear and I can't really imagine phobias being permanent and so painful. Intriguing.

clowns..i ****en HATE clowns!..if somebody brought one to my bday.ima beat his ***..it was all becuz of the movie "the IT"..**** i hate clowns..i mean not liek ima run away screaming like a woman..i juss dont want it around me..

Most of my fears when i was little came from movies...

Arachniphobia(sp?) - was afreaid to sit on the toilet, for fear of spiders coming out of it.

IT - Taking a shower:p

my mom's afraid driving on bridges. there are only a few familiar ones she can drive on. she thinks that she will have this uncontrollable urge to try to drive off the edge. riding in a car that's going over a bridge is no problem though.

i dont mind spiders unless theyre close to me or are very large

im 20 years old and Im still deathly afraid of wasps and hornets since when I was like 5 one flew into my ear and stung me so many times I am now deaf on that side

any time one comes near me i either freeze up or scream and run, seriously

I cant even cut the lawn without doing it. and when I see one it feels like theyre all over me

but thats it, i dont mind heights, scary movies or ladies

im also ascared of speeding tickets and women cops

Here I am.. the cure for all your phobias!
Needles - Simple.. shoot up Heroin for a while.
Heights - Self explanitory.. sky dive.
Fear of Bridges - Jump off.. you don't wanna be on it anyway.
Clowns - Go to a rodeo, and see them as the ragdolls they are.
Spiders - Get a tarantula... it worked for a friend.
Women - Go gay.
Detonation - Clip all the wires... especially the red ones. Nothing can detonate that way. It works in the movies.

Well.. I'm afraid of just about everything. Closed in spaces, spiders, heights, and clowns (stems from watching "It" when I was 6). Also, that guy on the Quaker Oats boxes is really creepy. I just don't have time to fix the fears with the above methods.. so someone try them, and lemme know how it works for ya.

I'm afraid of dying slowly. when i go I want it to be quick and painless. :) other than that no real fears... I dont particularly like spiders and insects but im definately not afraid of them.. I mean really I'm like 1000x their size. dont mean I run out and pick um up though ya know? heights? been flying since I was 4... thats longer than some of you been alive. clowns... well career clowns are kinda disturbing... but more from a "why be a career clown standpoint?"

women... I know a couple scary ones....

Aliens. Swear to God. Not the aliens from Aliens, but those little gray guys with the big black eyes that are supposedly abducting people all the time.

I'm absolutely certain that I would die of fright if I woke up in the middle of the night and one of those things was standing next to my bed staring at me.

Another big fear of mine is swimming in the ocean and seeing a shark fin cut the water a short distance away, heading straight for me. It doesn't keep me from going to the beach, but I can imagine the spine-freezing terror I would feel if I saw a shark when I was there.

Last fist fight I was in was with a guy named nathan who thought I was joking when I told him to get his pet snake away from me. All my life, the only thing that has scared me is snakes. He stepped closer and I told him to get it away, he reached toward me with it and I had to hit him with a 2-piece.

And he did, but that was the least of my worries, I was the most pissed that I told him to keep it away from me and he kept coming, thinking it was funny. I'm not freak out and run away scared of them, that was childhood, now I'm old enough to keep my *** away from them scared.
