drag racing tonight..what to expect

tonight there is going to be some racing.

The cars who have agreed to be involved are as follows..

me (1993 240SX 5spd stock+exhaust)

1993 300ZX (auto non turbo)

a 280Z i think its like mid 80's, very nice, redone body and paint. Original engine. Standard

1992 Maxima 5 spd with some monor engine mods

Were just racing a few times each to determine the fastest car.

Any guesses?

the Z. na is still pretty quick, auto...might be disadvantage if driver doesnt know what he/she is doing

I say 280Z. Or the Max. Or the Z32. Either way, your car will probably be the slowest. Sorry.

Edit: the more I think about it, the more I think it's between the Z32 and the Maxima. Either way, good luck.

1st Place - 280Z (if it has the 5-speed not the 4-speed)

2nd Place - 300ZX

3rd Place - Maxima

4th - YOU :D

That is the same driver each car......when there are different drives it comes down to skill off of the line obviously......

A 280z had ~150hp, it will be far behind the 300zx and maxima. 280zx is a different story.
The only car I have never driven out of this group is the 280z. I own a 93 5spd maxima and a 5spd s14 (s13,s14 same **** KA). An auto 300zx will hang with the max for a little while, after that forget it, the Z is too much of a pig and 222hp doesn't do it justice plus it's auto.
Here's nice quote maxima guys like to use. Even though it's for the 1995 maxima the 92-94 5spd SE's are just as quick.

maxima will 0wn. those 190hp versions (92 SE was the first year) are quick, especially with a 5-speed. after that it should be close between the 240 and 300, and the 280 should round out the bottom.. but it could go any way, be safe!

first fastest was the Maxima. I raced him and whoever said in third gear it was over was right. He didnt kill me but it was a definite win for him. Shorter gears and more power.


followed closely by the 300 (it was almost a tie)

I killed the 280 although he said he wasnt really pushing it. The 280 was last but I think he stopped trying after 2nd gear.

I beat the 300 once, then the next time he beat me. We were close.

Personally I dont know why anyone would care how many posts they had.

your Z turned out not to be the fastest but he said his engine was old and tired.

actually i think that would be the most badass thing, have like a 1 bedroom house, like 5 miles of racetrack in your backyard, oh and not to mention an 8 car garage...lol
