My clutch is slipping, most noticeably when I gun it at lower rpms and especially in 4th gear.

I have a mostly stock 95 240. I am just wondering if I should just buy an OEM? I bought a non-oem fuel pump and it hums like a power generator.

Thanks

if you're just daily driving this car, I would save yourself the workout and just do another OEM clutch. Remember when you buy aftermarket OEM replacement, sometime you get what you pay for; case and point, that fuel pump. Change the TOB and pilot bushing while you're in there.

Good advice, what is a TOB? i've only replaced a clutch on my old fox body mustang with the engine out.

i say go for ACT good price good quality clutches they a have from stage 1 to stage 4 and lightweight flywheels. But for a street / drift use i recomand stage 3 , stage 4 will ruin your slave cylinders because it is very hard

I've been quoted $140(cheap aftermarket) to $252 (not oem but identical). A little confused, Lordco sells a decent aftermarket replacement for $190 w/ TOB and Bushings included (ALL CDN)

Either way it's a bit cheaper then I expected.

All of the above, just got a job and paying off student debt. I live in Canada near Vancouver however so shipping is an issue.

oem is cheaper but if you have the money go aftermarket, if you gona change it might as well do it right......

I run Exedy Stage One Organic and its really nice for my daily, clutch pedal pressure is not heavy at all and you have plenty of room to play with to get the clutch to engage not like some of the higher stage 2's where its either on or off.

I'd upgrade well actually I already did having the exactly same problem. Since I plan to upgrading to a 2871 turbine min, I went with the ACT. Which is about 150 bucks more that and OEM plus parts. If your not going for big numbers OEM all the way.

KA or SR?

I have a SPEC stage 1 on a relatively stock engine, and I like it. It wasn't much more than SPEC OEM grade.

If you're dumb, i think im dumb too because im upgrading to Stage 2 i wanna go for more power and i know my stage one organic is not going to hang especially after getting more power and clutch kicks.

FYI most clutches are in-fact manufactured by exedy. OEM Nissan is the same clutch as a Exedy OEM replacement, just 1/2 the cost.

But i like south bend clutches, its a awesome DD clutch, but will grip like crazy if you wanna do some driving and there costumer service is amazing.
