Hey guys, only one of my spark plugs works right now. The one closest to the firewall works, all the other three don't spark. I swapped out the coils and they're all fine. I checked the grounds on the back of the motor, took out the screw, sanded the area and put them back on, still nothing.

Not sure as to why the first three aren't firing. Everything is plugged in correctly, looks all good. Can I somehow ground them individually and see if that works?

My buddy and I just had this same exact problem, and i mean SAME EXACT problem.
We just about tried EVERYTHING!

ECU was bad.
Got a new ECU and everything is prefect! :]

How could have my ECU have went?

The car ran perfect prior to this, pulled the motor, put new one in.

Did you use your old harness? If by chance you want a brand new harness or need yours repaired pm me.

Ya I reused the old one.

First I need to figure out whats wrong before I start replacing parts.

How can I check if my ECU is jacked?

Try a different ECU.

It is easy to mess up the ecu, ie pulling it out without cutting the power off the car.

It may not happen the first day, but they are electronic, they will go bad one day.

The ECU was never pulled and the battery was taken out before I touched anything in the engine bay.

Last night the car fired up for a few seconds then died out.

When I first checked for spark it was really weak except for cyl 4. Now only #4 fires.

check out your ignitor chip. swap it out with a known good one. that might do it.

Swapped out the ignitor and nothing happened.

I'll be taking out the ECU and inspecting it. I'm baffled as to how it just magically went "bad".
