Last night I started my project on repairing the curb scars on my stock wheels. I took my wheel off and started working. When I was finished, I noticed when I was putting my wheel back on, one of my lug bolts was so far back I couldn't put my lug nut on. I took the wheel back off and pulled it back out but it wouldn't stay. It kept falling back, and now makes a horrible sound. Do you think it is safe riding around like this? Do I have to buy a whole new rotor, or can I just buy a lug bolt? Do most aftermarket rotors come with lug bolts, because I am thinking about buying some brembo rotors.

I'm assuming you mean the wheel studs.... and that one of them is no long pressed in fully. Have you tried to torque the stud back in?? Pulling it by hand won't get you anywhere. You need to press it in. The easiest way to do so is to screw a lug nut and torque the nut down so it pulls the stud and presses its base into the hub.

The wheel studs (lug bolts, whatever) are pressed into the hub, not the rotor, so getting new rotors won't fix anything. Hopefully if something is stripped or broken, it's the stud. Replacing the hub would be a very large PITA.

Here's a pic of the rear hub (with the rotor off):

(ignore the demolished brake rotor dust sheild)

Your studs stay in your hubs, not your rotors. I'd recommend replacing that one (at least) if not all of the studs on that hub.
Installation will be very easy, since that one is already loose, but make sure that the hub hole for the stud is not bored out.

So you think I might be able to put it back in its place? If not, how much do you think a new hub will set me back?

What do you think could have done this? I was thinking maybe just being old and rusted. Do you think when I was putting my wheel back on, I might have popped that stud and broke it?

New hub goes for something like $120 or so?? Should check Courtesy Nissan or something. New studs would be like $2 a peice.

Should be able to put it back in, though. Unless it's snapped or stripped. You probably hit it with the rim while attempting to remount the wheel. Might've just gotten popped out.
