Whats up everyone,
Okay so I'm gonna try to explain the problem to the best of my knowledge. I just swapped in a t28 on my sr, got everything bolted up no porblem, all the hoses on and everything. When I go to turn it on, it turns over but doesn't actually start. I checked all the spark plugs everything checks out, all the coils are putting out a spark, and I've also checked if im getting fuel and I am. I alligned the pointer on the crank shaft and everything top dead cente, and still no start... I just need to know how to fix this. Any input would be great. Thanks

was it running before the swap?
Check all hoses and electrical connections

Take pictures of how you are doing your timing? When you remove yuour sparks are they fouled or do you smell a lot of gas.... Clip of how it sounds might help
Make sure you set your CAS when the engine was at TDC of the compression stroke, not the exhaust stroke. To check, pull the valve cover off and check that the cam lobes on cylinder #1 are pointing away from each other.
Been there, done that.

soo...did you upgrade an already running engine, meaning, you took the T25 out, put the T28 in, and now it doesn't fire up???
or is there something you've forgotten to tell us? was the engine running alright before you upgraded the turbo?
as for setting the pointer on the crank shaft...did you follow this procedure?
How To Set Crank Angle Sensor (CAS) Timing on the SR20DET Engine (http://www.frsport.com/How-To-Set-Crank-Angle-Sensor--CAS--Timing-on-the-SR20DET-Engine_t_25.html)
you sure everything is plugged in??

Yes I'm positive I plugged everything back in properly, I checked all the fuses, the fuses, everything.
To answer a couple of your questions, Yes it was running before other then a blown turbo, car still ran but not that well. Purchased the t28, bolted it up and everything, then now it doesnt start. Were all stumped at the shop. Checked compression, runs fine, made sure it was getting air, and it is, checked if it was getting spark, it is. Any other questions ask away and I'll try to answer them.
Also forgot to mention, we made sure everything was TDC and it still is having problems. It'll turn over, but not actually start
id check that crank position sensor then the cam position sensor, those 2 will let it turn but not actually start.

No crank sensor on SR.

Okay so everyone, I timed it just right, everything at TDC and it all looked proper. Then I went to turn on the car and and STILL no start. I'm gonna check all the wiring all the hoses, front mount piping, everything again. Does anyone have anything else I can check while I'm checking those things again?

Usually has to deal with timing that its not turning over... If everything is plugged up... test voltage on your sensors just to double check...
Take pictures like I said of what you think its TDC and chain links and sprockets and cas line up... Just to double triple check so we can see what is going on...
Check your cam angle sensor, if you can swap with some one, I would try that too....

man im having the exact same problem. i had my swap running after doing everything then i went to start it after having it running a few times and it turns over but no start. i have sprk, fuel, and timing is right. i have no idea what to do. maybe a loose ground or maybe the cas could be going out allowing it to start sometimes and not others. please let me know what you did to fix your car i need the help bud

Yea, I have the same problem as well, replace your MAF it could be bad.

It should run with maf unplugged though too right and mine doesn't....could it be the cas going bad

Well it could be, but with mine at first I wasn't getting spark, replaced the ignitor chip, coil packs, coil harness, and the CAS with a working one still nothing. Reset it to TDC and checked the ecu and the screw in the ecu wasnt all the way in, so I unhooked screwed it and tightened it back in all the way, wouldnt start with the MAF plugged in I unplug the MAF and TPS and it will start in safe mode but won't idle past 1600 or so. Keeps fouling plugs like no other. So I bought another MAF thinking maybe my MAF is bad. So I'll find out prob tmo or wed if that was the issue. I've read lots of threads, where a vacuum line was the issue, or a ground was loose. Make another ground to the block I did that and it started.

I'm just going by what's going on with mine, it could very well be something else with yours. I still havnt figured out my problem, I'm hoping this new MAF fixes it and I can drive it for the first time.

id say just re-do the timing again.
good luck
