what would the gains be on a ka-t if u were to get your stock heads ported and polished?
wat about on just a NA ka24de?

sorry if this has already been posted , just trying to collect some info on the 240 and the engine before i go out and spend my hard earned money on one

I attempted to port/ polish my head by myself, and noticed a slight increase in response. helped spool the turbo slightly faster it seemed.

i'm not really sure what you want to hear about it though.... this isn't too much of a 240sx specific topic. if you port/ polish pretty much any head you can expect a slight gain in "breathability" (unless your engine is already hand ported/ polished from the factory like an ITR).

if you port the head it will help the flow of the intake and exhaust ports better, but you have to watch out it, has its downsides
as in to big of a port you will notice the lose on bottem end and more response on top end... ect....
also do not polish the intake side due too that your fuel will bead due to the polish.... just do like a satin finish
exhaust side polish..
but its like a art mostly just have to practice on a extra head...
if you have the time its worh it , with also a 3 angle valve job, buy that has to be sent out to a machine shop
thanks
