i recently swaped in a sr red top into my s14. the car used to be an auto then was swapped to a 5spd when it had the ka.(bought the car already swapped) it retained the auto ecu but i swaped it out for a manual and it wouldn't allow me to go past 65 almost like the car would shut down or bog out then come back on. swapped back the auto and never had the problem again.

now with the recent sr swap i'm having the same problem. would it matter what ecu i use and is this just my fuel cutting off or what could be the problem?

Got the same problem, hasn't been fixed yet, clean you maf, check for vacuum and boost leaks, Check you BOV if it's leaking. Recirculate it if it isn't. Idle controll valve. Check for a leaky injector. Fuel pump and o2 sensor. I have just decided to live with mine...lol

i needed a speed sensor from an s14 and that fixed the problem
