Didn't see any thread with my particular question anywhere so here it goes.

I am currently changing my zenki s14 to a kouki 14. I just bought a aftermarket Kouki bumper-fenders-lights- corner lights.

I'm having trouble with my lights fitting. I know that the zenkin light bracket has to have a hole drilled, but my bumper support seems to be fucking up my light positioning as well. it's making it not sit flush.

Question- Are the zenkin and kouki bumper supports different? I havent found any info on the web saying you need to change the bumper support as well. any information will help. thanks!!!

You need to talk to SimpleS14, or at least search his posts.

you will need the kouki bumper bracket that supports the lights, technically ,they support the bumper, if you are using the zenki bumper support. the bracket that sits on top of it will not enable you to fit the kouki bumper on. so you have to either remove it and replace with the kouki bumper bracket. the light brackets, the two T T brackets, you can drill a hole about 2" up. i think thats about it

Yea. Its a black bracket , I believe it is referred as the bumper retainer...

The retainer and reinforcement are both different. Tons of people have discussed this for over a decade. You can use the Zenki reinforcement if it's rigged, or do like 90% of people and just delete it, stupid, dangerous, but it saves a few pounds so it must be cool.

This is the guide I used. It is in the Archive section of the forums.

If you can't follow that write up, you have bigger issues on hand that getting your headlights to sit flush. Yes the headlight bracket needs to have 1 hole drilled out for the headlights to sit properly. You will need to use a kouki re-bar and retainer. Its simply not worth the time and hassle to try and make a zenki re-bar/retainer work. Since your running aftermarket fiberglass fenders, i would also check that to make sure the holes on the fender where the headlights sit are straight and properly lined up. Running all aftermarket parts tends to cause issues since fiberglass stuff never tends to fit like OEM. I've used the ebay style kouki headlight knockoffs (vertex style) and they fit fine besides the fact the wiring is lame.
