Alright, I've been building this car for the better part of a year now. I originally blew the trans and was just going to upgrade to the Z32 kit Mazworx offers, but I comp tested my motor and found it to be on the lowend of the spectrum. So I threw in my built motor I had sitting on the stand.
This had started as a drivetrain build and turned into a drivetrain and suspension build. I'm not done with the car, but am nearing completion and I'm hoping for it to be done in a months time, work, money and other things permitting.
Motor specs:
S14 SR
8.5 JE's
Eagle Rods
Cosworth main and rod bearings
All ARP hardware
Cosworth 1.5mm HG
Supertech DVS
Toda 264* 10.5mm VTC compliant cams
65mm TB w/ extrude honed IM
PeakBoost TMK w/ 3071R
44mm Tial
EMS:
Haltech E8 w/ patch loom
3bar MAP
Boost solenoid w/ trim knob
LS1 coilpacks
Drivetrain:
Spec lightweight steel FW
RPS Max Street clutch kit
Z32 trans w/ Mazworx adapter kit
1piece steel DS
S15 Helical diff
Suspension:
KW Variant 3's
SPL multi-link arms (still need to order)
Stealth custom fab's TRB
SPL V2 Tension rods
Def's GB spherical upright mounts
MoonFace RC's
Nismo bushings LCA, Diff, Subframe
I'll let the pictures do the majority of the talking, if you have any questions I'll answer them as best as possible. Thanks for looking.
Old coming out...

I'm hoping/aiming for 400rwhp on 93, which I believe I'll make with ease.
Looks good! Now pull the motor again and paint the bay!
Why? The bay is clean as it is, it's not hideous like a lot of cars out there. I'm not going for a show car either, I plan to drive the shit out of this car.

more info on the crank scraper?
and to answer lewis, its a lot more effective on the cold side of things (there are a few different reasons, research). The reason why many people have them on their hotpipe is because most after market hot pipes have flanges welded to them because the intercooler piping supplied with most intercooler kits has no flange. So instead of sending parts out to get welded, most people just opt to buy a pipe with the flange already on it.

Too add to this, the factory S14 bypass valve is located on the coldpipe as well. I simple cut off the bent pipe that was in place to utilize the factory valve and welded on my SSQV flange.

Yes, A/C and P/S are a necessity for me. This is going to be driven in daily conditions, so I wanted them retained.
My Fuel setup is as follows:
Walbro, I will upgrade to the Tomei unit if it starts to drop psi on the dyno.
Sard FPR w/ gauge
Sard 850CC injectors in stock rail
I didn't see a need to upgrade the factory hardline, as I'm going to be under 500hp mark.

Here's the front suspension setup. The rear is still at the shop getting the spherical bearings pressed in the knuckles and balljoints/bushings in the LCA's. I'm still waiting for my Cusco tophats to get here to run on the KW's and I have yet to order my SPL arms. I may throw on the factory arms just to get it up and running but, most likely I'll just hold off.

any updates?
Yep!
Alright, so an update is in need.
I finished bolting the rear back together. Everything looks great, I'm really happy with how it turned out. The car isn't low right now as I want to put some mileage and my SPL RUCA's on so I can go lower without my camber being off the scale. I threw the factory RUCA's on for the time being so I can drive it. Which brings me to the next update further down the page.
I bead blasted and powder coated the rear subframe. Installed all Nismo bushings in it as well...

I was wondering if you had some info on the haltech setup and wiring for the dash harness. My shit went all crazy. However I have an older haltech setup, E6K. Maybe we can compare notes...

To be completely honest, I bought a patch loom, so everything plugged right in for my E8. I would contact john griff or steveshadows on here and see if they can't help you out.

cool, we didn't test the spherical bushings on an s-chassis upright
but figured they would work since z32 bushings are interchangeable
this confirms it, thanks
can you provide some more feedback on the rear suspension articulation?

The rear suspension feedback is amazing... It's alittle bit louder than stock, but turn in and response is astonishing. I'm very happy with the sphericals in the uprights and the Nismo's in the control arms. It's super sharp and precise, glad I did it.

Alright, so Monday the car finally made it to the dyno. I was stoked and scared at the same time to get it tuned. I kept telling myself it was going to blow up on the dyno, but it didn't and made pretty good power for only being able to get 13psi. My tuner tried turning the boost up higher, but I had/have a break up issue we couldn't sort out. So I'll be diagnosing it over the next couple of days. It's odd, if you stay at said psi, it pulls great without and hiccups, raise it a few psi and it breaks up. Overall, I'd say I'm very happy with the numbers it produced at such a low boost level.
Once, I get these issues sorted, I'll be heading back to get it finished and have a 19/20psi dyno graph.
Here's the graph...

whats with the dip in the power just above 5000rpm? fuel issue perhaps?

Sounds like an ignition issue. Did you install new spark plugs b4 you went to the dyno like you're supposed to? Try some ngk iridiums (call their helpline to determine heat range), you might be surprised to see your problems dissapear.

That dip is the VTC crossover point, it's actually when VTC disengages, so that's normal.

I'm actually running NGK V-power's, heat range 8, but I'm about to switch to 7's. I'm also running LSx coilpacks with the dwell time set to 3.5ms currently.
The tuner is very familiar with our chassis' and SR's, and said it is probably a grounding issue. I actually started looking around and noticed I didn't have a ground from the engine block to the chassis. I'm going to add a few and change gap size and heat range to see if that helps with the breaking up.
