whats up kids? i am setting my zenki up for drift clinics n parkinglot fun.
what wheel do you guys think is the best? i have a set of steel wheels off my maxima. i also have work 18in wheels that id rather not burn the tires off. i was just wondering what you guys thought was the best to use. i can get alloys if they are better. is there any difference when you try and drift on either?
as in wheel/ tire size?
weight?

of course the lighter the wheel + tire combo..easier to spin it, less width also = eaiser to spin

stick with cheap wheels for cheap thrills

the less unsprung weight, the better right?

wheel/tire size isn't really so much an issue as their Overall Diameter Combined, contact patch and weight of the combination.

This all really depends on the kind of power you're putting out and your driving style. There's no fix-all answer.

Important to consider, as well as the diameter of the wheel can also effect
how much energy will be needed to break traction.

say you have 18" rims with ~4" sidewalls (a little unlikely, but humor my example)

that's ~26" overall diameter, 81.60" circumference. That, and your tires may be new and sticky/soft or old and hard.

I personally would go with cheap thrills, as I'm broke and I find that tires for 18" rims are more expensive than their 15" steelie counterparts.

honestly, if you are looking at 2 wheels that are identical other than the material from which they are made, (steel/aluminum) which do you think is gonna be better? aluminum, because in 5th grade we all learned that ALUMINUM WEIGHS LESS THAN STEEL!

IMO use the Works so that you are drifting in style not drifting looking like shit.
