Regrettably, I am putting my wagon up for sale. In my soon-to-be life situation, an automobile will be unnecessary. The price I am looking for is 12400 with everything included, and 10k for everything included except the rather new work wheels, yokohoma tires, and stance coilovers. If you want the car 100% stock, I will sell it for 9k. Despite the mileage (which is around 125k), this subaru is in great condition, and should last at least another 70k miles before any sort of engine rebuild would be needed. I do not drive the car hard, and the car has seen the track only once. Even then, I babied the transmission and kept the rpms low. If you are looking for a beater high mileage subaru for a very low price, this is not the car for you. This car is far from a beater, and it hardly shows it age.

The mod list goes as follows:

Suspension:

Stance gr+ coilovers (these are the newest model and have less than 5k miles on them)

Sedan control arms

Kartboy front endlinks

Kartboy rear endlinks

Hotchkis front hollow sway bar (25 mm)

Cusco rear adjustable sway bar (21-23mm)

Cusco front strut bar

Shoes:

17x9 +44 Work Emotion CR Kai wheels in gunmetal. These wheels are custom, and this is not a size you are able to find in shops.

235/40 Yokohoma S-drive wheels with less than 5k miles on them

3 mm spacers (x4)

17x9.5 +54 Corvette Sawblades. These wheels, in order to make fit, would need a 5x120 to 5x100 conversion spacer, and I would recommend stretched tires and more negative camber. They can be included in sale at buyer request. They will be going on the car if it does not sell in due time.

17x7 Prodrive P7 wheels in gunmetal with 225 kuhmo summer tires. These wheels came off of a local subaru before my Dad rocked them on his Prius for a few months. They can be included in sale at buyers request. (SOLD)

Engine:

The engine is essentially stock, which should pan out to be a positive thing in the long run for the integrity of the car. I am not a "go fast" kind of person, and this engine was lucky enough to stay stock because of it.

Stromung 2.5 inch dual tip catback exhaust (quiet and great sounding)

Intake Snorkus Delete

Samco Y-Pipe hose

New spark plugs

New coil packs

New Mishimoto Radiator

New thermostat

Interior:

JDM road flares (x2) and JDM road flare holster

Painted satin black radio bezel (for the s202 look)

Painted satin black vent trim

JDM red Hazard button

Autometer Volt, Boost, and Clock gauges (52mm)

Phantom Boost gauge with vaccumm (52mm) All gauges are uninstalled.

1st generation Ipod wireless remote

Ipod/AUX hookup discretely wired through the tape player

Alpine 12 Inch subwoofer in a plastic bazooka style tube. The jl audio amp seems to be blown.

Junction Produce Fusa Knot

Hatch OEM Cargo Net

Hatch OEM Sun Shade

Exterior:

JDM STi carbon fiber reflectors

JDM STi fog cover (driver side)

JDM Projector Headlights (1000 dollar investment)

JDM rain visors

JDM STi grill

Custom red grill badge

JDM STi type RA rear WRX badge (uninstalled)... crown valley auto body is acting shady and holding out on this right now.

Painted Aspen White side skirts

JDM STi hood scoop

15% Black tint on all windows besides windshield

Brakes have recently been replaced, and oil changes/maintenance have always been done on time. It has been recently aligned as well. It has not been any major accidents other than being dented outside of my house recently, and insurance took care of the dents quite nicely. The coilovers are set extremely low, and can be spun higher at the buyers request. It is quite easy with the included spanner wrench. The biggest aesthetic problem with this car is the driver fender having a peculiar small crease in the metal. It was caused from the fender not being pulled enough, initially, to fit the 9 inch wide wheels, but the problem has been fixed and the front fender clearance no longer causes problems. The crease is only seen up close, and it has never bothered me.

This car has been HELLAFLUSH approved, and even made it on the HELLAFLUSH website, which should up the price at least and extra 10,000 dollars. ;) Approval sticker is included.

Thank you for your time.

sooo what about maitenence? have you done the timing belt already? thats atleast $700 from the dealer. has the transmission been replaced ever? there was a defect with the 02 03 transmissions that caused them to break after the 300hp mark.... just wondering,

haha I remember people saying that, but I think that nasioc uses the same forum server as zilvia, so you can properly say it here too.

The transmission is smooth as hell, and will not need replacing. I never planned on modding the engine ever, and if I did I certainly wouldn't break 300hp without building the engine from the ground up. I am pretty sure all subaru wrx transmissions have the heightened potential to eat shit after 300hp, but bugeye trannys saw a higher rate of failure. I am sure that my transmission is in great shape, because I drive it everyday with no problems, and it is the smoothest transmission I have ever had on a car. The clutch was replaced recently and the flywheel was resurfaced.

As for the timing belt... that is harder to answer. I purchased the car from an older man in LA, who had driven the car from its birth in 2001 until the 100,000 mile mark. I have contacted him to see if he has replaced the timing belt, with no answers. It is entirely possible that he did replace the timing belt in the 80k to 100k mile range, but it is not a sure thing. I thought about replacing the timing belt a while back, as it wouldn't cost much for me to do, but with my style of driving I know it isn't a necessity for a while. I have consulted various shops and mechanic friends about it, and they feel that I am quite fine for the time being, and my car should run without any problems until 175k + miles. They have even taken the cover off because I wanted to know if they could visually see if the belt was new or 120k miles old, and they thought that it looked rather new, with no stress or cracking problems at all. Again though, no assurance. For personal reasons I wouldn't let the timing belt thing go for much longer than that without replacing the timing belt anyways. If I were to make it into the 200k mile range on the stock engine, a timing belt would become a necessity at that point. As for now, it is not necessary.

You make valid points about the subaru timing belt, and the subaru transmission, but they don't apply to this vehicle because A. I know how to drive B. I drive like a grandpa (slow) C. This vehicle has never been raced and D. The original owner was an older, mature guy.

The rumors about WRX transmissions grenading and timing belts exploding comes from the numerous reports from boi racer high schoolers who drop the clutch when they street race home from school everyday. That is my impression of a lot of subaru owners, at least, and I don't quite fit that mold. I am a berkeley hippie that goes as slow as possible to save gas.

Since your comments and my response may scare some people, I can offer a timing belt replacement at a very small price on top of the price of the car. The transmission I will not plan on replacing before selling, because I am sure of its quality.

Thank you for pointing those things out though because I am sure they are on some buyers' minds, and I hope I cleared things up. If not, re-respond. I am here to answer questions.

Yet another amazing car that would cost too much in shipping to justify buying it. Dude if you could get that thing up north, I'd take her off your hands, our monopoly money is worth something again.

not completely implausible to get to canada. For reference, I shipped it originally from Chicago/Wisconsin area and it cost 600 dollars. That was three years ago but I doubt it costs much more now. I will pm you.

I was asked to provide interior pictures, so here they are, and a shot of the engine. Interior-wise, the gauge pod is no longer with the car, but they gauges plus an extra one will come with. I could likely source out an oem clock pod too. Engine-wise, the little black plastic radiator has been recently replaced with a fat and shiny mishimoto.
