i know this might sound stupid and maybe bad for the fuel pump but i did it with my stock one before i put my 255 in. i just disconected the fuel line to my fuel rail or the line coming out of the fuel filter, and i had a friend hold it in a gas can, and everytime you put your key in the ingnition and turn it to acc it sends fuel to the rail but in this case out into the gas can. it only pump for a few seconds at at time and you have to take te key completely out of the ingnition everytime before you turn it to acc. might sound confusing or hard but it beats dropping the tank imo....

siphon? It's pretty easy.. I just did it the other day. Just suck on the hose until the liquid is close to the end and keep the end lower than the gas tank (I had to raise my car since my car was lowered and gas tank was pretty low)
I have also tried the cup in the gas tank method.. but that takes a while.

You gotta be careful with those since the drill has sparks.. sparks = BOOM
I almost burned my house down playing with gasoline (nothing to do with cars)
You shouldn't get gas in your mouth if you use clear tubing (I'm a moron and I got gas in my mouth). Although just spit that shit out... Just don't swallow it

I did this by leading the fuel line from the tank that's under the hood into a container, then jumping the fuel pump relay. For the S14, this relay is in the driver side kick panel.
Doing this makes it so you don't need to keep cycling the key which will take forever.
Make sure to turn the car off/ de jump the relay when fuel slows down/stops coming from the tank or you can burn your pump out.

just undo the out going line on the fuel pump and clamp another hose to it put it in a bucket or gas can whatever you want to drain into and then just turn the key on and off bad for your fuel pump but it works

Like i said i tried that but my fuel pump wont turn on. I know my fuel pump isnt shot since it was working last time i drove my car. Does it have to do anything with my engine harness being off???

take your compressor and blow air at an angle across the hose you're siphoning with.
Also is a good way to make a huge fire if you point it at a flame.

1. Connect wire from battery directly to pump, just keep the sparking away from the tank, do the final connection at the battery so it sparks there
2. remove the tank flip it upside down or sideways whatever your preference is and let it drain
3. Poke a hole in the tank, then patch the hole with some J&B weld

Thanks for the help everybody. I decided to go with the hand pump. Worked like a charm!! It only cost me 2.50 at Autozone

i tried to siphon my tank.. when i sucked on the hose i just got high (not intentionally) but i just dropped the tank and poored it out.. idk what you drive but on an s13 it took me like 15min to drop and drain it.. but ur gonna need buddy to help you put it back in. its hard to hold the tank and bolt it up

Tip the whole car upside down with the gas door open while having a broom stick jammed in the hole to keep the flap open.

You shoulda went to the store and bought a siphon hand pump lol thats what i did and it worked PERFECTLY. I would have just dropped the tank but i heard Its a pain in the ass to do that with an s14. Thats what i was told...

disconnect battery, remove fuel hose feed to filter, ignition on on position and tap battery and let the fuel pump drain the fuel - may wear down fuel pump faster.
Or just go to a fishstore/aquiruim and ask them how to drain a fishtank - Same theory will apply to draining fuel tank.

If you don't mind the extra work dropping the tank is the best way imo. Oh while your at it replace the stock hoses going to the fuel pump, because its going to be a bitch when you put everything and go for a drive and your cabin starts to smell like gas.
