Hey everyone,

I notice when the car is sitting idle and I do simple things like use the power windows or even turn on my head lights, the car drops in idle. If the cluster is on, the lights dim. What could be causing this?

I've had to replace my alternator twice since I've had the car, I'm assuming the first time I did the alternator was just bad. It's been okay so far. I check the grounding from the negative terminal on the battery to the chassis and the engine and it's 0 ohms.

Please help me out guys, thanks.

If it helps any, I have a 91 S13 240sx SE HB.

Thanks,

Check my alt output voltage? I already checked from the negative battery terminal to the chassis and the alternator to the neg. batt and also to the chassis.. Voltmeter read 0 for Ohms.. What else can I check?

Already did a tune up: change spark plugs, change distributor cap and rotor, changed oil, backed timing to stock. Now what?

Check your alternator fuse (big 75 watt fuse, in the fuse box under the hood)

Don't mean to be stupid or anything but... What exactly am I checking for? If the fuse were out, the alternator wouldn't be working at all, right?

Theck the voltage of the battery when car is running. Ceck all your grounds. Been a while since I worked on a ka, so I can't outline where they are for you, but If you look around I'm sure you'll find more.
