this weeks meet was pretty big, someone did a rough count of about 80 cars

godspeed raffled off sideskirts, and the week before a rear sway bar

starts @ 8 ends around 11, live dj, coffee and sandwiches, and in-n-out is right across the street

this is just my opinion , but this meet is done the rancho sherrifs dept pulled myself and atleast 4 other cars over when the meet was done said i didnt have a front plate but i do! The officer said that a meet this big has to have a permit issued by the city of Rancho
This was by far the best meet in cali and will miss going to it good luck to all that attend in the future .I for one am not willing to risk any further attention from the P.D.!!

It was 5 mins till 11. Every one was leaving and a rookie cop pulls in. Thinking every one was going to "race" he stops a couple cars. He stops the organizers of the meets as well. A little confused, everything was explained to them then and there.

Youdrift.net meet is a function that brings the drift community together. When the cop stopped us we simply stated we DRIFT on the track and that this is just a car meet during the week that gives us a little break. Our conversations to them were in a nice, respectful manner and they simply handed us our licenses back and let us go. :snoop::snoop::snoop:

I know I am taking a risk everytime i leave my driveway with my modified 14 but i know there are places where i'm more likely to get pulled over. 3 months ago I went to this really bad meet up in victorville with CHP's running around everywhere chillin at driveways waiting for modified cars to pull over. I got a ref ticket that night and since then i've been really conscientious about these spots where cops "look" for us rather than "finding" us...there is a difference.

But it looks like there was just a mere misunderstanding with a rookie cop, hopefully they will leave us alone next time around.

The Rancho Cucamonga police department was spoken too by the property owner and event organizer. They are fully informed on all three shifts, for every wednesday, that the YOUDRIFT meet is happening.... There should be no problem from the officers, so dont abuse it.:cops:
