Whats up guys, This is a good friend of mines car Mike at SDR Miami that we have been working on. Went to the dyno yesterday and pulled some new numbers 796hp and 578tq @ 7600rpm with 30 psi on e85. We are sure that we could get allot more but had a few issues we were dealing with like spinning on the dyno and boost controller shutting me down at 30 psi .. The car is still a full street car with a/c and p/s and is drivin every day...
Vidz will be up soon and will link them once they are ..

Theres alot more left in the car we stoped all pulls very early at 7700RPM. The boost controller limited us to only 30PSI. The car is also running pig rich. The turbo is a billet 6765 once we crank it up to around 45PSI we should see 900 RWHP.

So how high do you think you can rev it? What type of RPMs are those cams rated for?
The power comes in so late, that it would really be nice if you could at least rev it to 8500 or 9K.
What do you think is the safe limit and what is the weakest link that is keeping it at that limit?

When I said weakest link, I meant what is the component in the motor that sets the upper limit on how high you can REV it?
Also, just wondering how you can REV it to 9500 RPMS?
Are those BC cams really safe to 9500 RPMs?

Havent had any issues with the cams, they are actually not even dialed in yet. with all my Jun products, solid lifters and the fine work done by dan over @ DPR Racing in assembling the head it is solid.

The problem with making an SR rev pass 9k is the oil pump cavitating. If theres no power being made pass 9k, theres no point of making it rev pass that.

When you get the cams from Crower, is there a spec sheet that says how high you can rev them?
My HKS Step 2 cams came with a printout that said the max RPM for them is 8000.
Just wondering how you determine that revving those to 9500 is safe.

It's not the cams, it's the springs/lifters that limit the ability to spin... cams just limit the amount of power made above their designated rpm-range.

600 WHP is a "good number for street"
We've come to the point where a "good number for street" is a car with 100-150 more whp than a Porsche 911 Turbo that weighs at least 500 lbs less hahahaha

as i kept researching it appears that i would need 19" rims. though some dsmers are attempting the same thing and suggested the evo X rotor that is 13.8 in order to use 18's. what do you think?
Well if you have 18 the biggest your gunna fit is a 14.1" you can use the same srt-8 rotors i have and get them from wilwood 2pc.. thats what ima doo once i see how these hold up. the lug pattern of the 300c (dont remember the size) but rotors fit with no modd only the cent you need to make for it..
let me know if you have any other questions..

What would be the differnce in output/performance on your setup using c16 rather than e85, I'm considering using e85, and concerned about tuning etc, can you provide some direction.

Im running the Aeromotive Pro Series regulator..
C116 and e85 are 2 totaly diff fuels in many ways..
E85 is found at what ever time at the pump and costs $2.12 per gal
C116 is hard to find @ 8pm when you run out and costs $8-12 per gal
e85 is compared to 105-110 octain so you will get more power out of c116

Awsome build SDR!! but i have one question..
If your running E85 with lambda=1 (stoich) being 9.765 [lean power=8.47] [rich porwer=6.975] , that would mean that at WOT with the ratio being 10-12 you are running super lean right? If its a dumb question please forgive. Im doing alot of reasearch now to convert to E85 now...

I'm very interested in the E85 setup, I was told although it's a lower octane there are other aspects of it that makes it a better choice.

Those readings were read @ the end of the exhaust. They are a full point richer than what is shown on the dyno.

Their are allot of other fuels that you can run and we can tune to, Due to our car being a full street car we are using fuel that is found on the street. we could get another 25-30hp just with c116.. let me know if you have any questions. email me

Hey, awesome work there SDR. I have a suggestion.
Have you ever given your BOV serious thought? THE OTC stuff u get, looks nice , sounds nice but causes gear shift boost lag. Perhaps you could consider an upgrade to the BOV, by adding a BOV electronic controller to perform BOV action before deep vacuum.
Remember those BOVs have to HOLD shut vs average vacuum so their sensitivity is compromised by having to wait for deep vacuum or risk leaks. In any case no mechanical BOV can react as fast as one driven by an electronic control because the e-control can start to perform blowoff before vacuum.
You have 2 options:
1) Keep your BOV and have the e-control manage the vacuum control line to the BOV
2) Replace your BOV with 2 N/C solenoids (for hi boost and safe redundancy) placed to minimize air flow reversals.
Option 1 is a bit simpler but option 2 will yield better results. Both achieve pre-vacuum blow off.
Option 1 does this by having an additional check valve inline with the BOV vacuum and e-controlled solenoid, the line between the check and the solenoid will be larger than normal to act as a vacuum accumulator. This requires some line length tweaking to make sure there is enough accumulator vacuum to operate the BOV before vacuum is recharged by the intake.
Option 2 entirely replaces the BOV with a pair of 1" VITON solenoids. No vacuum required. The e-control fires those solenoids as soon as the negative Delta pressure change triggers it. So if u're running at 25psi and lift, by the time u're on 15psi in the intake the solenoids are opening. With both solenoids opening, one placed near the throttle plate and the other near the compressor, your turbo does NOT spool down much, except due to reduced exhaust gas outflow, which is momentary, nor does your airflow suffer compression wave velocity slow down or possible reversal.
What do you think?

Yes, I do know where to get one.

Sounds good.. Allot of people over look their BOV applications when at the track. in japan they dont run BOV in ther race cars. when we go to the track the bov will be shut all the way but your idea sounds interesting... send me more info
