has anyone here ever been to switzerland, or europe and encountered any roads like this: saint gotherd pass

yeah. can't really enjoy it too much in a minivan with 8 suitcases and 5 other people though. i'd go back if i had a fun car to drive.

Ahhh the things our government does to prevent roads being paved in that manner.. j/k
Most of our roads that descend a mountain side go further distances and tend not to have such sharp turns. Whenever I drive up to Stinson beach or Point Reyes, I thoroughly enjoy the roads that you have to take to get there. But, there's only so much you can do with the amount of traffic that always happens to be present.

Driving in Europe is so much fun. All the passing on two-lane roads into oncoming traffic can be quite an adrenaline rush. Plus pretty much all cars there are manual, since everybody has to learn how to drive one to get a license, and no one wants an automatic once they know how to drive stick.

Were you watching Top Gear cause there was an episode where they tried to find the best road in Europe. Im pretty sure they went there
