View Full Version : S13 SR Greddy intake manifold bracket.

The Greddy intake manifold i bought came with a bracket to use as a support for the underside. It normally attaches to the bracket that is attached to the alternator adjustment bracket. I do not have anywhere to attach it to unless i put a section of the bracket back in but at that point it really wont be doing much at all.

Anyone else have a similar manifold with or without the bracket? I am not running an IACV so it really does not weight that much. Do you think it would be ok with out it?

Yeah ive seen that write up however it does not cover the lower support bracket im talkin about.

i have the bracket. on my greddy intake manifold. i took it off for a while and put it back. its just for support.

you don't need the bracket, your manifolds not going to fall off

Rad ass, I dont have the IACV on the manifold either so it dosnt weigh much.

i didnt mention the bracket in my write up only because i decided not to use it. I've installed a few of these and have never used the bracket. the greddy manifold is a good casting that can def. hole its own weight. You won't have to worry about it without the bracket.

This is correct.

But also, I know the bracket you are talking about....in theory it connects from the manifold to the "BIG" bracket that connects down near the transmission housing.

The problem is, it is only good if it's EXACTLY the right length.

Too short, and it is pulling down on the manifold, too long, it is pushing up....either one may be worse for the manifold in the long hall than just letting it be supported by the studs.
