Ok....So I need to get insurance for my car...but I'm getting very frustrated. I want to get my car insured for the actual value since I put like 10 grand into it, but it doesn't seem possible. Most of the places I called wouldn't do it, and the one place that would insure it was going to charge me 2 grand a year! Does anyone have any suggestions about what I should do, or where to get it insured.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

skyline owners have to insure by value of car:

state farm is common w/ GTR drivers, but theyare insuring as a grey market/specicility vehicle

AAA as a 'speciality vehicle' (because imported)

seems those are most common for SKyline owners...good luck

as long as you get comprehensive full coverage (not just liability) insurance you should be ok...make sure you have receipts / pictures of all your after market items for proof...

i know when my civic was stolen, 5 years ago, all i had to do was provide proof of my parts and modifications...street legal or not...and the insurance company (AAA) was required to reimburse me / replace the items...

they fu ck us so much...shouldn't we return the favor now and then...lol..:)

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! that is so much.....I can get liability alone for about 55 a month. I can't believe you pay so much for insurance, that's crazy.
