Update on my new wheels! With new pics!

These will be my backups/doridori/dailys to save $$ on tires..
As you can see, one has some minor damage that i'll want to clean up a bit, but in the end they'll all be painted and probably clearcoated. Anyone have any suggestions on color/finish/method?

edit: For clarification, these are Skyline GTS-t wheels (thanks AKADriver) and I will not powdercoat them, as it'd cost more than these wheels cost me.

to clarify further, those are HR32 GTS-t/HNR32 GTS-4 wheels.

The R32 GTS had 15" 4-lug 7-spokes (S13 wheels). And it had no dash!

Mask off the polished lip with masking tape and paint just the
5 spoke and inner rim.
Paint it Gold.. You can get it done at Autobody shops.. They got that BLINGIN' clearcoat.

Ok, time for a quick update.. I went to Lowe's today and bought some supplies. A file, some 150grit sand paper, some 600 grit sandpaper, a 120 grit sanding block, some Rustoleum professional primer, and some Rustoleum Hammered black spray paint.

After spending about a half hour smoothing out the curb rash on that bad wheel, I applied a few coats of primer to it.. It'll be about 2 hours till i can apply paint to that wheel, so in the meantime, I'm going to primer the rest!

First image is a pic of the wheel with just one coat.. I forgot to take pics before primering..

The cap has the color and texture, but it's not as clear as IRL.. The color is something of a gunmetal but darker.

Where did you get GTS-T rims? Anyway I bet they are going to look sweet, I remember seeing a dark blue 180 on Foster with those rims painted gun metal, and they looked awesome!

I can't wait. All I have to do now is finish painting all the wheels (plenty of coats each), and then wait for them to dry/cure, then clearcoat them! After all that is said & done, they go on the car!

It came out clean for canned clear coat, but If you had it clearcoated from a body shop, it would BLING like a mofo. Seriously.

driftk2000: that's true, but the cost of that would be greater than my wheels and my painting them COMBINED.

As long as they were stripped down properly and primed/painted...they'll hold up just as good as powdercoating would. I had a set of wheels powdercoated and they chipped the first damn day. Then ontop of that...something got on the wheel and it stained. Last time I'll ever have anything powdercoated.

Wow, his car looks almost exactly like mine did when I first bought it... Since my complete exterior overhaul though, his is nowhere near as sexy as mine. =)

Come on, what is that ish? bulging tires and a large wheel gap? Wheels are nowhere near flush and the stance is much to timid. ... Perfect paint and clean windows, no bug marks or scratches on front bumper... this is too much. Someone take this atrocity of 240s out of my sight! :cry: :coolugh: :D

Perfect paint my ***.. Remember, these are cheapy wheels for me.. I don't care TOO much about how they look (even tho i have to apply some more clearcoat to one of them). As far as flush is concerned, wait till i get my GT-Rs on.. muahaahahahha.

wow, that looks really nice.. i cant wait to put my new pics up. i just got my coupe back from the paint and body shop, got new cherry red pearl,(factory stock Maroon-color) painted and an s13 pignose front lip as well as s14 mesh style rims painted black. ill post pics this week.
