It's like any other vehicle. Doesn't matter if you're seeing a sentra. If the previous owner did not take care of the motor and it runs like crap, then it probably wouldn't make it. If they did and it sounds fine then I don't see why not.

if it is installed correctly and running good yes. it came out of a normal car. i dont know why people think these things are fucking race motors that will only run for a couple hours at a time and need constant attention.

the sr is just a normal engine. would you ask if a ka would make the trip?

yeah do it...don't bring ANY tools with you. don't bring a spare tire, don't bring a jack, don't bring anything that could repair a busted coolant hose. defiintely don't bring extra coolant, don't' bring extra oil or anything like that.

don't read up on common SR problems either, it'll get you nowhere.:squint:

I drove 800 miles from NY to GA, a week after I bought my first SR powered 240.

it was strong and fast... granted my battery terminals were caked out and worn (replaced), and my MAF wire was loose and wobbly (taped up), and my fan thermo wasnt wired right (checked and corrected) but after that the car breezed through the trip... without a hitch.

I've driven multiple times to Jersey, delaware, and maryland from boston in my s14. Other than gas consumption everything was great.

Shit, I've driven my car from NJ to fucking SD...I changed my oil before I left NJ, changed it again when I got to Socal and got situated (3100 miles after all my stops and detours).

if it's a legit swap then yes...if not...maybe, maybe not. you should figure this out before heading out there to pick it up

Take it around the block before you buy it and make sure it at least makes it around the block. Also bring a friend with you and have him follow you home just in case something happens. Bring some basic tools and check for any fluid leaking.

It's not a fucking top fuel car that needs the motor replaced every 1/2 mile...what would make it unsafe? What is the difference between a USDM motor or the SR going to vegas? I don't get it.

another spoon fed SNIP. didnt post car info up. didnt post how much it was for, how much money he had. if he had a truck. wtf is wrong with you dumbass. why waste our time....

also to mention,

sr20's are total 2.0 race motors bro. they make 400 hp stock. id recommend removing the turbo for the trip. and add sand into the oil to brush out the race oil
