Right ive just finished this little project there now. people have ask'd me why?
and simply, because i wanted to, anyway. so on and off for the past week and
a half ive been fabricating a 1/2 scale full WRC regulation 24 point roll cage.
complete with 1/2 scale floor plates, everything in a full cage just half the size.
this may look cool but being half the size it was actualy twice as hard to build,
one the dimensions are completely diffrent, you dont just half all the measurements
which i found out prety quickly, as with smaller material all the radius's are diffrent and
was quiet hard to find the correct scale.plus im a hair under 6ft and trying to squeez in
and out of the tiny frame to weld joints aint easy, you have to be a bloody contorsionist.
then the welds are also half the size so trying to keep steady movement in quiet a precarious
position upsidedown with sparks going in your ear and a bar, well i wont say where the bar was!!!,
and trying to weld a 2mm weld bead neatly is quiet a task. but all in all is was a fun challenge and im prety happy with the result.
im still not 100% sure what to do with it but ill probably be using as a display
in the shop and for events, trackdays, etc, so anyway enough yap, heres pics.

when your done if you dont wanna make a go cart out of it you could always mount a stearing wheels and pedals and whatnot for an xbox and play forza from inside it

So what do you realistically do with something like that?

I know my kids would have a blast in that thing. Throw a little seat and wheel in it when you have toddlers.

i didnt put the harness bar in because i thaught it looked too full. theres so manny bars and so little space that they all came together in such a small place that it looked too full. like messy, as if i was just putting bars in for the craic. so the harness bar, hoop x bar, and triangulation to the front struts were left out.

@daniel; its basicaly just for show. and cos i wanted to build it for fun!

Step 1
Put camera down and walk away.

Step 2
pick up camera owners manual. And learn how to use the auto focus

Step 3
Pick up camera with newly acquired auto focusing skills.

Step 4
Revel in your new non blurry ass pics!

LOL I'm just being a smart ass...

The cage looks good!!!!!!
