Okay
First off thanks to all who helped in the last post. I was talking to some buddies tonight at the weelky tim hortons gathering who all had something to teach me about why my tires might be wearing the way they are...so if anyone can elaborate on here for me (for the sake of being 240SX specefic) it would be great.
TO RECAP:
Tires are Radial TA's
All my tires are wearing on the inside. The back ones are the worst, the outer set of tread has like...%75 left while the inner ones are bald.
The front shows the same pattern but not nearly as bad. This has effectively ruined my back tires.
See the attachment for a pic
looking from the sides the wheels look like theyre sitting straight, not leaning in or out at all.
Heres the questions I have:
-when I get an "alignment" at the local shop, will this fix it? Can I just go and get the camber and toe or whatever fixed?
-someone said that the suspension may be "sagging" causing the camber (?) to be off. Is this so, and if so, will replacing shocks and struts fix the problem?
-when you change shocks and struts (like I need to) do they do an alignment as part of the process?
-is it possible that the back tires (bad) were on the front and just started to wear like that and then they got rotated to the back and that made it worse? (READ: Nothings wrong with the back, only the front)
-If I just take it to the dealer and say "fix it:" is it going to be a mere adjustment or will I need new parts?
CONSIDERATIONS:
1) Im riding on stock rims, and stock suspension
2) Car is not, and probably wont be lowered
3) Shes riding rough and I need new shocks and struts (and tires) soon
Sorry to be longwinded here, and again thanks for any help you can offer. Special thanks to Hookedup240 for the link in my last posting. I need to get this solved soon, next 3 weeks max, Im starting to get sick of the car jumping sideways over bumps and the tires bouncing and leaving the road under acceleration over even slightly bumpy surfaces (a combination of bald tires and worn struts)
