Should i do it? (trade for S14 with only 36k on it)

Well its a possibility i will have the chance to trade my 2000 Impreza RS with basic mods and 116k on it, for a s14 with 36k on it. however it isnt perfect at all. it was from arizona and was stored in the sun, granted that means no rust, but it was a race car. this is the first time it has ever been registered and plated for road use. literally bought from the original owner and tracked. it needs paint and window seals all around(the sun melted these basically). and some body work. there is a hole in the trunk where a fuel cell was. its got a high compression KA motor in it now, but has a completely torn down and ready to assemble SR with non stock parts. interior is kinda beat. has a Vfiber?(maybe, cant remember exactly) carbon hood and aero catch latches. a sparco evo driver seat. some other random goodies like nismo lsd and greddy ti-c.

just wondering if it would be a good idea to trade even though it needs a lot of body work. my thoughts were get it, clean it up, and swap in the SR and with the low mileage would probably be worth some money, but i wouldnt get rid of it anyway, it would be too clean and my own personal build. i always wanted a 240!

Why would you swap in a sr when the ka only has 36k on it. I think you should keep your ac car

I have an S13 coupe that I would trade you that in my daily driver. Decent paint, no major dents.

I know this may not help you much but hell, I'd be willing to drive it to you as I'm not that far away from you.

just because it's got low miles, doesn't seem to make sense. I mean, if you REALLY REALLY want a 240 that bad then hell, knock yourself out. but personally, i wouldn't take a perfectly running car that's newer, has everything working and trade it for a fixer upper like that. you can pick up a shell for cheap if you look hard enough...that way you've got a nice project you can build up. this would be the most uneven trade ever :P

I wouldn't trade that particular impreza for the 240 in question.. Like other people said you can pick up a 240 for cheap if you want a project car, but that impreza is too nice to trade for a 240 that will need that much work.

If you really want a 240, sell your rs and buy one. Theres so many molested ones out there that it's way cheaper to buy one already modded, clean it up, and change it to suit your desires instead of buying a shell and all the parts and doing alllllll the work like I'm still doing.

Coming from a fellow 2000 RS owner(former), DONT DO IT!! Swap a STi motor in it and have a blast with it(like I did) or just sell it and buy a 240. No way I would trade that clean RS for a beat up 240!! I dont care if it had 5K on the odo!!

hey bro, if a car has really low miles, its worth buying only because the body looks really clean as if the car were brand new, but since the paint is faded and if your'e gonna put an sr in it then who cares how much miles the ka has, becuase its mainly expensive due to low miles
