I need a turbo that will be good for over 400hp. I still have to get supporting mods, like an afr, injectors, vpc, etc, but I would like to know what will be good for drag purposes. I don't plan to build the bottom end yet. My friend is running is running a turbonetics T3/T4 turgo with a .50 trim compressor and a .63 stage 3 turbine with the stock piston which I believe are 7:6:? He thinks I should run an .82 turbine for the stock 8:5:1 in the sr. What do you think?

STAY AWAY from the .82 turbine housing. it will be a laggy beast!! What your friend is run is a great combination. If I were you I would even think about going to a .48 turbine housing. it might hurt you top end a very little bit, but the better spool and throttle response will more than make up for it.

Yeesh... .48 intake ar is too small for the power he wants. .63 is optimal, as is the .82 ar exhaust. Think 400hp.

The .48 is the A/R on the turbine housing (Hot side) there are alot of people out there that will say that is too small a housing, but I have seen over 500whp on 2.0L motors and they were using a .48 A/R turbine housing. They had GREAT throttle response.
