yea as stated, my zenki underwent a s14 sr swap (MAM did the swap, doubt this matters) from a KA. now, apart from my speedo and odometer not working (made another thread about this) my heat does not want to come on.

i dunno how many of you guys even still have your heater cores, but so far i can deal without the A/C, but it's fall time in MD and it's starting to get cold lol.

is there something i'm missing? does this potentially have to do something with the swap?

engine mods

nismo thermostat
koyo rad
new water pump
stance water pump pulley
ebay fmic
bov
etc

(doubt some of this , if any of it matters)

maybe another wiring issue (which i believe is the case with speedo). or is there a plug that's not plugged into the heater core? i have no idea. help me warm my feet!!!! :hsdance:

Could the heater core hoses be backwards? on the s14 there is a valve for it in the engine bay that adjusts how much coolant goes into the heater core(atleast i believe thats what its for), its located right next to were the harness comes outta the cab for the car, check and see that...

thanks ceepo, i went outside and checked this valve and the "throttle-like cable" wasn't attached to the valve. :duh:

As a note for anyone who searches this thread in the future, '96-'98 cars do not have the cable and one way valve. The plastic tube is still there but there is no valve in it, nor a cable to operate it.

So for those vehicles this would not be the culprit.
