Okay, while I am a veteran of Zilvia, I must admit to novice knowledge of tires before I start this post.
I noticed this moring that my front passenger tire has NO tread on the inside nub, it's completely smooth. And it's just the front passenger tire. These tires are relatively new, stock suspension height. This is a list of the new parts on the front.
balljoints
new driver side lower control arm
ES control arm bushings
ES Tension rod bushings
ES sway bar bushing kit
New end links
New inner tie rods
Nismo steering rack bushings
New front pillow mounts
New Tokico HP struts (passenger front is a brand new replacement (20,000) due to an accident from a previous car. Transfered over the other 3 struts (25,000) to this car, those are still pretty new)
Rebuilt J30 front brake conversion
I have also reset the front alignment myself. Total toe is 1/16" in, steering wheel is straight. Car did not pull until recently, started pulling to right and I noticed a balance issue above 65 mph. I have since swapped the tire to the back and now the pulling and vibration is gone.
Any thoughts? Why just the one tire and not both? Maybe a seized strut? I'm actually leaning towards a junk tire. I do drive pretty hard, and take Ortega at high speeds alot. But I would think that would cause BOTH front tires to wear out not just one.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks guys.
