Hello Everyone,
I did search all of the threads and got the wiring diagrams and other help, but my problem is a not listed.
About a month ago I purchased a 1995 240 sx se and it was in pretty good condition, even a nice sounding (some rattling) system but the setup looked terrible and I don't like the old JVC H/U. The kid who owned it was running all pioneer speakers internal, 4 10in. MT subs, 2 1 farad caps (one with digital out put) 4 amps (all different) and 1 MT crossover. Like I said, it sounded good, but I had an extra h/u which has updated capabilities like MP3 and cd-r/rw and it matches the interior lighting. I set of rca pre-outs and 40x4 internal amp. I took out the old unit and used the aftermarket harness that was there to wire. I had the ignition, mem, ground, power antenna, antenna with adapter, and the rcas patched in (using one of the pre wired aftermarket amps). NO POWER. I noticed that he had wires coming in from all places that were not sheilded and some going into the cig lighter (for ACC) but nothing. I mean, if I could at least get power I can do the rest. Your help is appreciated. I also left this thread in caraudioforum.com and have not got a response

thats why you take the negative off the battery when you wire stuff, of course.

anyway first check the cd player to make sure it is functioning.
second, use a multimeter to test the wires under the dash.
If you can't find power, run new wires.

I did forget to mention those tidbits didn't I. I had removed the negative cable and no, I have not yet checked the fuses (I am at work and it 11p.m.) I will in the morning. The only thing I think happened is when I pulled th ehead unit out, the wiring was rigged with only black tape which was melted and falling apart and possibly created a short in the process.
