so i have my fan shroud and fan out of the way. now im kinda stuck on the next step. shouldnt there be a tensioner bolt to loosen to remove the belt to actually be able to get the pump out?

any help would be appreciated.
*ALSO I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS AN "AFTERMARKET" WATER PUMP THAT WOULD BE BETTER THEN A STOCK ONE?"

loosen alternator
remove pully and belt
remove bolts
remove and replace Water pump
The FSM explains all of this

like he said above...
this writeup is for the fwd motor...the water pumps are NOT the same but procedure is pretty similar except the engine mount is not in the way.

ok so i installed a "used" water pump from a friend and its doing the same as the last one. after i installed and sealed the pump, i started to fill the radiator and it started leaking out of the weeper hole. so im wondering if i have a good water pump, it shouldnt leak out of that weeper hole right?

if its leaking out of the weep hole the pump is bad. source a new one.

also is there anywhere i can go like today to get a new pump for the rwd sr20?? im hearing that the one out of an sentra se-r wont work for some reason......

Should have ordered a new one in the first place.
thats retarded to install a used unknown water pump.
and NO the SER W/P wont work you need a RWD SR W/P

nope, when the seals wear out thats when it leaks

Fastest turn around time is a rebuild. I would recommend a rebuild from a local shop if you need it asap. If not, order a new one and wait
