Long story short.... getting gas today, noticed a bit of dripping coming from front of engine. Does the water pump have a weeper valve on it?
Man..... I get the brake master cylinder fixed, the clutch master cylinder goes out... .get that fixed and the slave cylinder brakes while bleeding.... get that fixed HUD goes out.... then tie rods are shot, get that fixed and aligned.... now the water pump is going.... what is next.... the front Nissan emblem morphing into a Ford emblem.

haha i feel your pain
changed my master clutch cylinder, slave goes out.
water pump no weeper valve on front. its probably leaking
easy job, 9 bolts and 2 hours work MAX (let liquid gasket settle)
water pump runs about 40 bucks max liftetime warrenty from auto shop.
remove clutch fan (drop to floor below car) remove the 5 bolts hoding water pump, remove pump, replace pump, bolt in back to spec, let liquid gaket settle and put fan back on. you dont need to loosen the belts, will go on and off the pump without loosenging. very easy job
tie rod replacement is VERY easy too. simple tools and some time.
HUD is notorious for sucking haha...

there are 2 wholes on the water pump, one towards the side of the top and the other on the bottom.
from what i understand, if it leaks water from the holes (most likey the bottom) the water pump is going bad, you can buy one at the dealer for about 80 bucks.
i've struggled 3 month w/ water pump, it keeps leaking, i kept on thinking it was the gasket, so took me 5 trys, before i gave up and got another pump from a junk yard that one was bad too. so i just suggest you buy a new one, before your engine gets hurt.

I had to put a radiator and a thermostat in the fastback since it was running a bit hot and then the collar on the radiator broke off in the upper radiator hose, so I am no stranger to taking apart the front of the engine. I figured it would be an easy job, just wanted to make sure that Nissan water pumps were like Honda's and had weeper valves on them.
Tie rods were STUPID easy to replace. I think I honestly spent more time jacking up the car and taking off the wheel than I did changing the tie rod. I counted threads and everything when I put it back together but somehow my toe went from 0.06 FR and 0.04 FL to -1.77 FR and -1.12 FL YIKES! Everytime I took a slight right hand turn, the front right wheel would squeal like a pig. But I got it aligned back to .06 FR and .08 FL. BEST upgrade I've done on the car yet. The steering feels so much more repsonsive now and more solid.
Word to the wise for everyone.... check your tie rods!
