View Full Version : December 09 Super Street Feature: S13 JUICY WHIP

Our good friend Jared has been working on this masterpiece for many many years now. This is probably the cleanest s13 I have ever laid my eyes on lol.

I know this does not fit in with the crazy glitter vinyl wrapped zip tied aero and the car does not get drifted or will never see a race track. But the goal of this car was just to have a very highly detailed restored 240sx and I think he accomplished that:2f2f:

Currently the car is sitting some Fortune 500's and he has has our super sweet knob:)

Figured it was cool since he gave us some shot outs in the article. He also just got featured on enkie's blog:eek3d: Enkei Wheels Official Blog: Custom Wheels, Tuner Wheels, Racing Wheels, Performance Wheels, Import Tuner Scene (http://blog.enkei.com/)

Not much he can do about it, dude has gone through like 4 midlife crisis' where he tried to put the car up for sale so he'd stop spending money on it. And the shitty decision early on to mold the kit to the body of the car.

I wouldn't track that shit either mainly cause he wouldn't have the money to repair that body work.

-1.8Lwhat'd you expect a 19/20 stagger on a show car ?
wangan wing, not your typical kouki wing.
anyone with autometer gauges is wack now ?
CA18, not your typical SR20

But that is your opinion, and those are mine. the interior seats, i guess he's going with restomod? Nice looking car though... the color is awesome

10-05-2009, 03:43 PM
looks good but molded kit is a big no no.
interior is better than mine but still ugly. steering wheel is horrid, and just look at the dimmer switch. only good thing is that badass CA18 and the wheels

That's a pretty old pic.

The rear fenders have been somewhat cut out now, he has lowered the rear quite a bit.

He was misguided by his body guy. He basically talked him into keeping the stock 1/4 in place because he was afraid it would take away from the structural integrity of the car. Beginner mistake. He's owned that car for yeeears now. I think it's not completely my style but it's incredibly clean and well built.

I sent Jared a msg on NICO (because I never go there) and because I stumbled into his car via some google image searching. I think his car is pretty well done, though of course there are things I would have done differently.

Is it the BEST? Is it the CLEANEST? Would you all like to suck his COCK?

The answer is: WHO CARES. Its good.

Some people dont like the color, personally.. Im not really excited by it, but I dont dislike it either. The engine bay valve cover, whoop dee doo.. nothing a quick trip to the powdercoater wont fix.

I mean, you guys nit pick about some funny things, like it takes more than 10 minutes for anyone to remove that damn steering wheel (which I dont like).

Out of all the cars I've ever seen, I give this one a B+ in execution and delivery.

The biggest gripe if anything, is the usage of fiberglass.. but hey, even Jared said the same thing. For a guy whos not in the spoiled land of J-spec parts (aka socal), I give the guy credit. Lots of money, lots of time.. and overall just a good job.

I've seen a lot of clean cars in my time, from Russ's S14 to the Silbeer car... and even then people could still nit pick.

Of course, I still think my car is the best.. but thats like sucking my own cack. :-)

Nice job Jared.

No one said shit about rather seeing a 3 tone s chassis or one full of ebay shit, all that was said is that its not someones style or we dont like it o well, get over it. If you thought you were going to post a car on here knowing its not the style of most of the people on this board and still expect a good responce your crazy. it brings nothing new to the table.

yeah, it's clean.. but it's real middle of the road from a style and engineering perspective.

yeah well.............

in order to talk, and this is not just to you but to everyone whos nit-picking:

build a car, post it online, then lets see how much value your opinion has

until then, a lot of the posts in this thread are just talk.

this is what separates the boys from the men. if he had just spent cash and ordered parts, it wouldnt look like that. you can tell when someone has put TLC into their build, and this is coming from me - and im an idiot.

i know my car doesnt appeal to many people, but i built it for myself. id like to get a few things straight in my defense.
i was misguided in the beginning on bodywork...thanks Chris :) i did take care of fenders so thanks for bringing up that old ass pic lol.
super street did not photochop any of the pics...my car has been that height since 2 yrs ago.
its taken me 3 yrs to build this car so its not like i have alot of money to throw around...whoever said that.
the car has never seen a trailer...i drive it everywhere... it is garage kept.
ive done 2 shows in the last 2 years so i dont even consider it a show car anymore.
ive had 4 midlife crisis yes, because i was ready to join the army and i wanted this gone before i joined.
the yashio factory pink did not flow very well i know this... that is why its sold.

i can say the Fortune Auto coilovers allowed me to dump the car down and ride smoother than the old jics i had on it :)

But this car is really nice. I'm really digging everything on this car. The colour scheme. the duckbill looking wing.

Very nice. Keep it up!

I love this car because it is 100% not what 'Zilvia' would do. I love the color, I love the wangan wing, I love the steering wheel. I love the stance, the wheel fitment, i love the yoshi knob and cooling panel in pink. This car looks like a very comfortable daily driver.

Three things.

1. I request people stop saying the "240 scene this" "the 240 scene that" if you're not even a part of it anymore. I'm sick and tired of going into every thread about a build car or a part and seeing this whiny bullshit. People build shit and have preferences, everything goes in cycles and one day the masses will come back around..

2. Overall the car is executed well, maybe not the best planning... but at least it looks presentable and comfortable in it's own skin.

3. The CA is fucking rad.

i like that all the people who were hating have changed to saying things like not my style but to each their own, after they were chewed out.

my car is far from being as clean as this and my car will never be in superstreet, i like the early 90's throwback in the engine bay with all the color and whatnot. i like the wheels its practical, but then again im not one of the guys that wants a 10" wide rear wheel with a 7" wide tire. i like traction, i like driving, i like drifting.

the car is ok, it gave me something to look at while i poo rather than some +35 offsetted civic thats "jdm as fuck". so thank you for putting something in superstreet that makes it worth my read during my daily deed

I think the car is sick man, like I said on Nico. It's awesome to see a detailed and well put together build that comes out looking flawless in the end. I can't say all of the choices made would be mine, but that doesn't mean I can't look at it and see it for what it is- a very detailed and well executed build. I do really like the wheels though, I think they are sick! The redone version should be really sweet as well, excited to see some progress!

yeah the interior is a little weak, but i figured id like the interior to be low key and really clean oem. the only thing i plan on doing this winter is throwing some clean 180sx front & rear seats & maybe a new steering wheel. i ripped out all the heating & a/c stuff since i dont a. have a/c
b. i dont drive my car in the winter. im relocating the fuse boxes and wire tucking the cluster fuck of harness on passenger side.

heres some better pics of interior:

its a good grocery getter and picking the kids up from school...cant have them bashing their faces on a cage...lol

since the shoot ive sold:

front bumper
spoiler
wheels
carpet
fr & rear seats

i finished cutting the fiberglass fenders away from sideskirts...going to order new metal fenders from nissan next week. the metal fenders should slip behind the skirt and bolt in. i plan on running some wheels with the right offset so i dont have to use spacers anymore. heres how she is sitting for the winter in my shop...flame away:trogdor:

i think the car looks good.. not a huge fan of the orange, but it works well on your car. i really like what you did with the rear carpet thingy that covers the spare. also what did you use to do cf on the radio bezel and what not. i think it looks good over all though!

udon!

He has never stopped spending money on this car, I have know him for 2-3 years+.
To my knowledge, of personally knowing him and keeping in contact (ACTUALLY CONTACT, NO ONLINE CONTACT), he has never seriously gone through a midlife crisis.
His early decisions are exactly that, decisions, his decisions.
If everyone rocked the same wheels, same body kit, same JDM shit, whose car would look better? whos car would be the best? who would be able to tell their car apart?

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one..

I personal know the owner of this car, and is a awesome guy. I like his car and have shoot it many times personally. I dont absolutely love the car by any means, everyone has their own veiws of their "perfect car". To the amount of time/money/resources that are in this car is simply amazing. The amount of NEW OEM/JDM parts is outrageous.

To everyone on here that does not know, this car was/is being built in a very small simple rather poor town in central virginia.

GAIN SOME RESPECT

im the first one to admit if i had to do it all over again i wouldnt have molded shit. only the people that have followed my build from the beginning know how much new oem parts...every last bolt in the engine bay has been changed out for s/s or chrome (thanks to the hardware store i manage) :) i have not let a shop touch my car in over 2 years...everything has been fixed or done by me and help from good friends...like Chris^
i do live out in the middle of fuckin nowhere...mostly rednecks & thugs...absolutely no jdm cars or nissans in the whole damn county... lol i work out of a warehouse by some creepy ass woods with 3 mountain lions on the damn loose...i cant even take a piss outside anymore...thinking im going to get pounced on.

its amazing om1kron you know so much about me...w/e man cool story...i
