This is probably the stupidest question and im sorry for being such a noob, but is there anyway to get a new SR20det, or rb25det instead of one that has like 40,000 miles and no history? i would like to have a new engine and knowing that i have taken proper care of it ya know... please give me any info.

Not really, aside from the über-expensive, radically modified engines from JUN, Toda, etc.

Since the SR is no longer in production the answer is no. The only way to get a "new" SR is to buy a used one and rebuild it

lol off topic but no, chiefland is in N. Central florida about an hour away from Gainesville (home of the UF gators incase that helps). Destin is way up in the panhandle close to pensacola.

I thought tomei and others sold crate engines at both stock power levels, and more but i could be wrong.
