I did a search already...
My driver side belt doesn't want to retract sometimes... its not the fuse cause it'll work again after a while.
I just want to know... what lets the seat belt know when the door is closed? (its not the "button" for the dome light- i checked)
thanks guys

i had the same problem with my drivers side track, my dealer said that there is a switch at both ends of the track that let the motor when to stop, if one is bad, it wont opporate correctly, and they also said that its not tipically covered for some reason. i hate automatic belts anyways and just said f* it and got s14 belts.

I just disconnected the power to the seatbelt motor, so its stuck back at all times. I just slip it over me when i get in the car. meh, it serves its purpose :o

i did the same til i installed my s14 belts, i had the controller disconnected, and sitting in my garage. now my car is 50lbs lighter, no motors, no sliders, and both tensioners are gone. all replaced by one small tensioner.

What parts do you need for the S14 seatbelt conversion, knightrider?
p.s. nice rims.... yummy

all you need is the s14 seatbelt and tensioner. it cost me 100$ for both sides from the junkyard. most of the install is taking out all the crap from the automatic seatbelts.

Is it possible for the seat belt to get "knocked" off the track? Just a question.... my seat belt stoped working when I hit it once while getting in to the car!

that might be a possiblility but i dont know, i dont really think there is a track to fall off of, cuz there isnt much movement of that other than back and forth,

there is a new recall for something on the seatbelts. don't know for sure what though, but they're getting it for me and i guess i'll find out when they give it to me.

hmm, let us know what it includes, the only seatbelt recall i know of for s13's is for the buckle, not sure if its the lap buckle or the shoulder buckle, but my nissan dealer said it was a recall on the buckle, i dont think they knew it was an automatic one with 2 buckles, but oh well, if you take it to your nissan dealer they would sort it out,

How'd u disconnect the power? Does anyone have a picture of how it looks like because my seat belt won't retract either. Thank you.

my seatblets always move, they are just slow as hell!!! I think they just need some grease or something. Suggestions?
