car wont start

i just recently changed my battery last week.

while attempting to turn on my engine all i heard was clicks.

nothing catches.

i place the battery in the back so i have this can that tells you the power level.

the can reads 11.4-7 but nothing still catches.

does it need to be higher then 12 to catch?

the only way to turn my car on was jump cables.

help please.

Check your battery terminals. They may not be making a good connection to the posts. Mine looked fine but once i took them off one was cracked on the inside, I replaced it and it started right up.
