Who is this guy? I swear I saw his car for sale at some ghetto pawn shop.

I just stumbled on his name and a picture of his car today... Any story behind the sale or some link to info about his car specs?

He sold that car. The dude is a long time serious autocrosser, that car has a lot of history - I suggest you search Jrho at Freshalloy.

Hi guys,
The build threads for its life in Street Touring and then Street Modified autocross classes are on the Freshalloy forums in the 240sx best of area.

I sold the car to a fellow in south Oregon in late 2007. On that same trip I continued north to pick up my current car in Washington. Was a fun drive.

The car when I sold it was set up to run in Street Modified autocross. As such, it was a bit finicky and high-strung, not the best for street driving. The guy I sold it to I think planned to run track days with it but I think he might've bit off more than he could chew. The AEM EMS was tuned to run in 109 octane with no manual boost controls, and I think he had a hard time finding someone in his area to help him get it tuned for lower octane. The clutch worked great but made some squaking noises on engagement, and even with a new driveshaft and other stuff, that never went away. I think it got a cage and some minor touch-ups but as far as I know, never made it to the track. Don't know much else, haven't heard about it in a year or so.

The car has a ton of $ (easily 3x the $9k asking price) and time put into it, but due to its high-strung nature, will require a lot of attention, definitely more than a typical SR swap'd car.

I don't know if there are any serious or semi-serious autocrossers in the northwest, but this car could be a top-flight Street Modified car right away. PJ Corrales did great at Nationals this year, and I think this car would be as fast or faster with the right driver. However, like most serious race cars, it is uncompromised enough that it really ought to be moved around on a trailer, not street driven.

Here's a video from a practice event in El Toro-

Would love to see somebody pick this car up and get it back into competition. Happy to answer any other questions.

Are you aware if the actual car is for sale again?

Yep, pretty sure it's for sale, has been for a little while. As I learned when I tried to sell it, it takes a special kind of person to buy a car like this, which means it takes time to sell.

Most of us enjoy buying and bolting on all those fun parts, instead of buying a car with them all already there, even though the latter method is much much much cheaper. Just the shocks, turbo+manifold, and EMS are worth over $9k.
