So, I'm thinking about going to a methanol setup on my SR powered S13. Currently car makes about 400whp on a mustang dyno. Say if I run meth with my current setup (Stock internally other than JWT S4 cams and an Apexi HG) should it still be just as reliable as it is now? My main concern is that with the additional power the car will be making at the same PSI (I would guess 40 or so more whp at 20psi) that I will be going over the limits of the stock internals. Any thoughts on this? Will the added cooling propertys of Meth and increased octane rating counteract the added internal stresses to the motor?
I am currently in the process of building a motor that should be fine runnin 28psi and 550whp but I would like my current motor to last through the winter if possible running the Meth setup. And, last but not least, does anybody have any opinions on this Meth setup below?
